Like I said after US championships, that kick is nothing that has been seen in the women's 1500m before. How she got to that point I do not know but I can guess. She's clearly going to smash the American record with good pacing this season.

“Just wait until next year when my balls drop!” - Caster Semenya post race.
The power burst that Houlihan is doing in the last 100m reminds me of Alan Webb. You don't see that in women's races.

I know what you mean, but honestly the finish reminded me of Simpson sprinting away from everyone on the final stretch for the win. I don't remember Rowbury making it look like everyone else was moving backwards.
I'd say Houlihan is Simpson 2.0. She has all of the features we liked in the original, but runs just a little faster.

I don't think she is doping. She has always been a sit and kick runner, and I have seen Dibaba and Faith drop the hammer before in the last 200-100 m, so it is nothing unusual.
And it is not like 3:57 is earth shattering. It's a great time, but the WR is 3:50, so keep that in mind.
I just think that 5000m has really given her a lot of aerobic strength, where she can hang for most of the race, and then get into her kick, which is what she does best. That has always been schtick, but now she has perfected it.
One thing is for sure, she will never take it out fast because of that strong kick, making her a one trick pony. Faith and Dibaba can take it out fast as hell and still win, or sit and kick, which is why they have dominated 1500m for the past 3 years. They will just take it out fast as hell with her and caster on the track.
But make no mistake about it, Shelby is the top american at 1500, Jenny might be done. Not counting her out, but she is only going to get older, while Shelby will just get better.
Shelby is definitely making things very, very interesting. 1500m is stacked as FOCK.

Really? What race was that?

It’s he, not she. Please confirm there is anything female that would qualify him as anything but a male?
Ovarian tissue. She has both testicular and ovarian tissue, making her intersex. It's that she just chooses to beat up on women instead of getting beat up on by men.

With the alltime list and going against some of these drug suspects, why does Shelbo, Schumacher, and BTC never get accused of doping?
Because Schumacher isn't wired that way.

Hate to say this, but Simpson is not really comparable with Houlihan even at her peak. Simpson can close and Rowbery can time trial,; while Houiihan can do both .

Dibaba makes her true break away move at about 200m and accelerates down the stretch and then slows down.
Shelby made her move to get into position at about 200m and then accelerated down the stretch and kept going.

Maybe because the United States has better testing?
Than the United Kingdom?!? There is no other nation with as stringent drug testing.
Funny thing, how a lot of guys fear and hate women.
Wake up, brothers.

It's a great, great time, but after seeing dibaba run 3:50 , and faith run 3:56 . I'm not like wow, wow, wow. Hell it isn't even the american record, and it's the 4th fastest time.
Again, its a great time....may be it is earth shattering to americans. But again I'm not wow'd by it . .WE have been watching Dibaba and Faith destory 1500, for the past 3 years, so come on.
Why on earth would you run the 5000 when you are capable of running top times in the 1500?
And why run the 1500 if you are competitive in the 800? No one cares about the 5000 as it is long and often boring. The 1500 is way more exciting. They might as well just eliminate the 10,000 as no one cares to watch someone run 25 laps. Replace the 5k with the 3k and then go straight to the marathon. Make cross country a winter sport and Basta!

Ok, very obvious she was just sandbagging so that her fans can claim she isn't even "that" good, but still funny to see her lose.
Ex-runner who's a staunch supporter of Semenya will be one of the first to do so.

Why would anyone choose 5k over 1500?
Slower races are for slower runners and are completely boring.
She should just do 8s and 1500s exclusively until she gets older.
Everyone should just run the 200 then.
Because that's the fastest race and everything else is slower.
Personally I'm in favor of limiting sprint track and field to 400 and less, plus field and decathlon.
Everything 800 and up can be held at separate distance track championships.
Or make it 800 and less, vs 1500 and up.

Does the UK even do testing?
