those that are arguing about the word "type" and that it somehow doesn't mean "make and model" in their own interpretation but just somehow maybe "shape?" or what? give me an example of "type" of shoe WOULD violate the rule in your special interpretation?

well, it's interesting to note in cycling competition their rules do not allow any equipment that isn't available or won't be made available shortly, like anything you see in "Tour de France" in theory you should be able to buy later that season - not a bad idea for the running universe too?

(e) Use of any technical device that incorporates springs, wheels or any other element that provides the user with an advantage over another athlete not using such a device.
however the current language is all we have to deal with now, so we have to enforce their seemingly-engineered vagueness
