An elaborate troll couldn’t make you guys look so green! But your young, there’s still time.

This thread has changed dramatically since I asked the opening line to that joke just a few days ago. There was nothing trollish about my intent. At the time, it seemed there would be a handful of us charting Dave's progress across the country.
YEs, it's unfortunate this thread got so derailed by one person. From now on, ignoring said person and focusing on Dave's run
The guy is clearly unstable: old age, mental illness, drugs or some combination of the three. I don't know why LRC encouraged him by posting his ramblings; perhaps to encourage controversy and more clicks? All it has done is embolden him to be more prolific and more incoherent and weird. I'm guessing maybe his intent is to wreck this thread and drive everyone away, and he has for me. I won't be back. The cost to get me off the thread? I believe Al's run is totally suspect if the proof of it was recorded by hand by this unstable loon. Has anyone ever even seen the evidence of Al's run? The protests of his buddy here make it all seem very strange and inherently unreliable. When Dave finishes his run it seems it will be the only reliably reordered effort and as such no matter how long it takes, even if it's 73 days, it will deserve to be the true record as it can be proven - rather than using the incoherent ramblings of a loon as evidence of anything.
Nice try, sounds like you’re doubting Dave more than me; just ignore what you won’t earn. Did you go through Regina or not?
Nonsense like...Regina?
30 miles in 5:15 (counting breaks!) so far, only one day after Regina.
If you're THE Jesse Riley, ultrarunner and organizer and race director of ultras and Trans-con races, crew to Al Howie on his record run, you've got a wealth of experience and insight--far more than probably anybody else reading and posting on this thread. Your first several posts after joining the thread seemed to indicate that's the role you were going to play--the expert who's been there before, the guy who crewed the recorder holder on his record run, the exact record Dave Proctor has so publicly set out to beat. But you've become so cryptic it's hard to know what you're on about half the time. I posted a few days back the news stories about Dave going through Calgary. Are you suspicious because there doesn't seem to be corresponding coverage from Regina? Why not just say so? Why don't you say, "Has anyone seen media coverage of Dave going through Regina? Isn't it surprising that there don't seem to have been any media events that day?" Speak plainly, man!

Don’t anybody pull any surveillance video from a thousand roadside joints in Regina, because it’s not at all suspicious that they won’t even mention that town.
Exactly, why can you write Regina & they can’t?

You're doing better, but keep working on it man. Use your words, and explain what you are trying to get across.
Also, combine all your thoughts into one post. Stop making three different posts replying to yourself. It's excessive, annoying, and makes you lose what little clarity of your thoughts you had.
Clarity about “Regina?”
Mid-afternoon Saturday, July 14th the crew posted on Facebook that the Staples event scheduled for the next morning in Regina would instead be held at 5pm that day. 4:24pm Dave took a picture at Courtney St. and Highway 1, SW Regina, ending his run. I believe this was the back spasms day. 5:05am the next day he took a picture at the same intersection starting his run. He had a companion for ~40km, who also took his kids to the Regina science center. Dave ran out of Regina that morning--yesterday. About what are you seeking clarity?

Good job, on to Winnipeg!
Everything looks legit to me, especially with so many people joining him all the time. Go Dave! I don’t think this takes away from Al Howie at all, I am sure he would be delighted by more attempts at the record.
The crazy guy above needs to relax and not be so threatened.
Bizarre posts indeed. Can the Brojo's confirm the article they got is actually from said person? If someone is impersonating someone else on this thread, that would be terrible.
Bizarre, and I'm not talking about the show hosted by John Byner, a Canadian classic. The whole Regina rant above makes no sense, IMO.

Is Regina and old girlfriend of Al’s?
I’m starting to get so confused. This Riley fellow is a genius.

Well since Let's Run seems to value trolls for some reason, I guess you are doing a good job, so congrats?
Dave wanted more publicity so he created the JesseRiley persona and we agreed to publish. Can't believe everyone fell for it.
I'm joking (well at least I think I am. I love how people get outraged by the article. If it was me running, I"d love the pub. Weldon used to love it when people asked if he was doping).

I don’t necessarily care about the thread. The old geezer ruining the thread is what’s annoying.
I guess I’ve been around so long I have a persona, and I’m grateful for such compliments. I’m easy to research, still doing the same local 24-hour each year, recent PR of 70 miles.
Yes, I’ve concluded that David Proctor is cheating. Same reasons that have been given since the start by others, as well as in my editorial. With Robert Young two years ago, it took some time and effort, and I don’t know if anyone wants to do the same again. The skeptics were abused and you got me instead, I don’t know how you feel about the exchange!
I’ve certainly never been popular, but in five transcon races I got 48 of 93 starters all the way to the finish line.
Easiest way to say it is, everything we’ve seen is a red flag, nothing is even slightly plausible and much of it is clearly impossible, in the context of a run this long. Best you can say of David Proctor and his group is, in a situation where consistency is paramount, we’re starting to get consistent cheating around 110 kms a day. Starting to act serious, at least!
The 12-hour days seem to indicate that they’re too lazy to cheat for 16 hours a day.
The technology supposedly justifies the crazy numbers, the “witnesses” (no major figures weighing in yet on Dave’s side) personally attack the skeptics. An interesting marriage of high-tech and low-brow, something for everyone!
By all means, attack me. I don’t think it’s the best way, but if I can be a lightning rod and draw attention away from others, then I accept this role.
If I was given the money and time to enjoy a 10 week holiday I could definately run across Canada in 66 days anytime.
Thank you for finally be clear.
Would you mind now clearly and concisely state the implausible and impossible claims that have been made?
