Lol. Hilarious ???!
But seriously. I would say 99.9% of the population has zero idea where any of their foods are sourced. Kudos to Whole Foods for re-packaging the same Monsanto crap everyone else has and charging a premium for it.
As long as people like op feel threatened by whole foods, then they, whole foods, are majory screwing up.

This is hysterical
I worked both in food sourcing and private label. Wholefoods in the categories I sourced in did not purchase from the same sources as other retailers.
The also had a more rigorous quality and compliance program.
I sold to Aldi, Giant, Lucky's market Whoefoods and smaller chains.

Like, literally the same source.
Donald Trump goes around spewing flat out lies, and now lots of people think it's cool to do so.
It's not. It just makes your flat out stupid.
Without backing up your assertion with some sort of proof, especially when it goes counter to my every day experience, then your statements amounts to nothing more than a Trumpian, bold face lie.
Some people believe if you say enough times, and your sycophant followers begin to believe it. It might work for some, but not for everyone.
My local Whole Foods carries, mostly, local produces from farms which I know. I know where they are. I know which other stores carry their produces, and I know what others places charge for it. I also know that the meat and Fish at my Whole Foods are way higher quality that my local big chains.
While there is some overlap in the products Whole Foods carries vs other grocery stores in my area, it is not literally, the same products.
I provided proof concerning the recent salmonella outbreak involving Caito Foods. Maybe you should read the rest of the thread, snowflake.
Agree 100% and nicely said. Thx.
The food at Whole Foods is NOT the same food at your cheap grocery stores.
That said, WalMart grocery departments (not so much the WalMart Neighborhood Markets) are WONDERFUL for oddball stuff. Even though we shop at stores even more over the top than WF ever was, I make sure to pick up stuff at WalMart every few weeks. They have products I can't find anywhere else. I won't get into it, but if you're a WF type of shopper, look carefully the next time you're at a Walmart. Might just be my buyer, but who knows.

Agree. Walmart is the only store in my area (which includes Whole Foods, Target, Kroger brands, and independent markets) that carries Tide He laundry powder. It makes me really curious about Walmart overall as to whether their margins on other items and overall market share allow for some sourcing of obscure items. Supply chain, shipping, and logistics are such vital elements of cost and yet I don’t think most of us bother to consider.

.
Yes, it is, as I've sourced earlier. That being said, I'm sure glad I have a selection of local co-ops from which to select instead of playing make believe at whole foods.
Also, just curious... do you whole foods shoppers tend left or right politically?
Your source said that Caito foods supplied Whole Foods, and also supplied other stores. It doesn't say the same foods went to all stores. So I don't think it says what you think it says. Do you have any other substantiation for your claim?
People go to whole foods for the culture. Do you really want to go to whatever other grocery store is around and (assuming its not fresh market, earth fare, trader joes) see lazy fat people riding around in motorized carts. Obese women waddling down the aisles filling carts with nauseating amounts of soda and chips. You ask an employee if an item in the bakery is vegan or not and he's confused, he's never even heard the word.
Plus my whole foods has a bar.
Hilarious that the guy said he can't get Julie's Organic at Walmart.. they regularly carry Julies products.

Name one food (not made in store) or private label and I will show you a large chain grocery store that carries the same thing. Even my local Kroger has a local produce section (same farms as Whole Foods).
The level at which people get butt hurt when you talk bad about Whole Foods shows that it is simply a cult following..
My whole foods carries strawberries from Swanton Berry Farm. What other chain carries them?

Elis, Good Earth, Monterey Market, Rainbow Grocery.. Perhaps Costco under private label?
There are major differences in produce quality at different chains, but there is a shift going on at Whole Foods right now, under Amazon's ownership, because they have decided to centralize and standardize purchase orders so that they'll be much more like other chains in where they get their products.

Yeah my wife said that today the cashier's were wearing Amazon shirts.
I'll continue to read labels and buy only the healthiest, most nutritious and least processed foods available. Whole Foods may change their product lines but I won't buy crap. I'll take my money and shop elsewhere if need be.
