Jeff Benjamin recently did a Q&A with Deena Kastor and asked her what her most memorable race was. She didn't reply her AR in the marathon or her Olympic medal but rather her masters AR from Chicago in 2014.

Deena Kastor: "My most memorable race is surprisingly not my Olympic medal or American record, but the 2014 Chicago Marathon where I kept getting chances to steer myself toward my goal of breaking the American Masters record in the marathon. I had challenge after challenge and was able to refocus. It dawned on me that at any of those chances, I could have given up, or given in, but I didn't. I was relentless and resilient which allowed me to reach my goal."
There is one small problem with that statement - Deena Kastor didn't run the Chicago marathon in 2014. We believe Kastor is talking about 2015 Chicago when she ran a 2:27:47 masters AR.
