So, why again does ANYONE want to live in the mid west?
So, why again does ANYONE want to live in the mid west?

Vivala, what gives? You were the voice of reason during the run up to London. You warned Houlifans not to hop on the crazy-train. You said SH wouldn't run with Dibaba, Obiri, Muir and Hasan in London because they were on a different level. And you were right. And now, just 4 months later, you think she's one of them?
All because she ran the race of her life time at Pre (against a weak field) and then beat up an even weaker field in Iowa?

There doesn't appear to be any mid-zone hash marks so you're going to have to use the solid line that marks the end of the relay zone (90m) then extrapolate. Photos are here.

In the very first photo you linked to, you can see the mid-zone hash mark right at the feet of the official that is standing in lane one on the curve.
I've downloaded that image and blow it up 200%. I don't see nothing. Well, I think I can see a ghost of a mark, but that's not enough for rojo to sight by.
He's going to have to use the the 90m mark and extrapolate.
Looking at the Iowa radar, it does not look good for things to resume anytime soon. Storms are really blowing up in central Iowa and are moving at a snail's pace. It could be late before things get underway again. I think they just announced that they'd show things later on NBCSN when it resumes, so I guess we have to stay on that station all evening to be ready....

Usually a much lower cost of living. And the people are generally nicer.
I've lived in the DC area for 5 years now - despite making a good income, I will probably NEVER be able to own a home here. And people here are WAY too obsessed about their jobs and politics.

It is definitely there. It is much clearer in lane 2, but it is there. Also it is VERY clear on the video of the race. So Rojo would have no problem using the mark. I used it myself several times while rewatching the race.

Meet delayed for the weather, are you kidding me. Nobody is going to get struck by lightning. It's not an outdoor swimmeet, its a track meet...
I think we need to give you a lesson in lightening, open spaces, and metal in stadiums.
I think we need to give you a lesson in pregnancy.
Here ya go

I think you are talking about Birmingham Indoors, not London outdoors.
Just seems like she has reached a different level this outdoor season. Houlihan is beginning to make a habit of beating multi-time medalist Jennifer Simpson and her sprint finishes in the 1500 and 5000 at these champs were a different level than what we have seen before. I don't think I have ever seen an American woman close like Houlihan did in that 5000, regardless of the overall pace of the race. She now has sub-4 speed and her strength seems better than ever. Looks like she is ready to run some fast times later in the summer.
Well done. 13.0 is pretty quick

NBC has switched to local news. NBCSN is showing Mecum Auto Auction right now.
Somebody update this thread if NBCSN switches back to the Champs.

not nice at all. everyone in the midwest smiles but what they say about others is sociopathic behavior. these people stay or go to midwest because the have the space to be sociopaths. If they had to live close to others then you would be able to smell the bodies stored under their floorboards.

Sure, buddy.
Anyone want to talk about the poor field tactics in that women’s 5k? Why didn’t the three Brooks runners work as a Team to take it out faster from the gun? They knew from the 200m mark SH was just going to sit and kick. Does the coach , or even the runners themselves, not understand the advantages of team tactics, as evidenced by Kenyan and Ethiopian runners in international competitions? Or is the psychology of a finalis require that they all think themselves able to win?
Thanks for volunteering buddy wrote:
