She was coming from Canada and she's French--two strikes against her right there. For LRC readers, it's three strikes because she can't run a 30-minute 10K. She's lucky she got out alive.

I’m not sure how one could mistakenly run into the US along the beach there. From google maps it looks pretty obvious you are crossing into the US.

This case defines stupidity. While jogging, she crosses an unmarked border on the beach and is taken away and held for two weeks, despite identification being brought.

Very easy to cross on 0 ave . On the Canadian side is a paved road. South of the Road (USA) , is a park , with no markers near the Peace Arch crossing. A typical situation is Americans waiting in long lines coming into canada , walk there dogs in this park, and walk on the road, which is actually Canada. happens all the time . -
