Why can't we just accept the statements of Des and Hansons?
Hansons said that she no longer needs development. That is 100% true. I believe that Des is in a different place today than in the past. When she finished 2nd at Boston in 2011 she was highly motivated to improve and went on to run 31:30 and 15:08 that summer. That is not her mindset today. She ran 35:12 at the NYRR Mini and will be racing today at the BAA 10k. She is in victory tour mode and I don't blame her but what does she need from the Hansons.
Great time for separation.
Good points.
Boston you have to give her credit for hanging tough, truth is she got a flyer that day.
She is by far on the backside of her career as we have a slew of US runners now running faster and competitive on the world scene.
Her 10k times have slipped. She is just not the runner she once was.
She will cash in over the next year, but performances will dictate the future beyond.
Does anyone know if the Hansons got a cut % of her winnings and or dealings. Maybe thats why she is trying to free herself up.
