Holy Crap!
Lucy B in second place!
I was hoping for a good showing but didnt expect anything this good.
No idea how far ahead of third or how far back from first she is, just hoping she doesnt fall apart.
Go girl.

Jurek has had far more chances to break the course record, and couldn't ever do what has only taken Jim three tries
Jurek never had a DNF, and was never chicked, at Western States.
So Jurek is faster than Jim?

Big effort from Bartholomew at just 22. Big future I think for this girl.
Walms: 94.3 miles in 13:42
Olsen: 93.5 miles in 13:48

When did I say Jurek was done? I said he had an entire career of racing behind him... which he does. The dude is almost 44 years old and has been racing for over two decades. You can't compare his career stats to a 29 year old.
Well you posted: "You have to be a complete idiot to not understand that Jurek is at the end of his prime." You should learn to read your own posts.
I read his post and understood exactly his point. You, on the other hand, appear to be drunk or high.

Walmsley will never be the runner Jurek has been.

Jim Walmsley leads the race at Pointed Rocks (mile 94.3) in 13:42 elapsed. That’s 6 minutes ahead of course record - he looks fine but struggling a little. #WS100
Wasn't the split for Olsen at 93.5 miles? So Walmsley is 6 minutes + 0.8 miles ahead of pace? That would be say 13 minutes total.
Yeah, I looked at that, too. Good point. I guess when Walmsley hits No Hands, we'll have a clearer picture.
14:00 / 96.8 = 8:40.7 pace

For reference. Olsen's times and splits.
No Hands Bridge — 96.8 miles / 14:14:00 / 7:53 min/mile
Robie Point — 98.9 miles / 14:35:00 / 9:56 min/mile
Auburn Finish Line — 100.2 miles / 4:46:44 / 8:59 min/mile
It blows my mind that somebody can push themselves this hard for 14+ hours and people will still hate on you...

Jim Walmsley is first place male at No Hands Bridge (mile 96.8) in 14:00 elapsed. Ran right on through without stopping. He's 14 minutes ahead of course record pace (apologies if time from course record at Pointed Rocks was out by a few minutes). #WS100

If this is right, that was 18 minutes for 2.5 miles. 7:12 pace.
Looks like Walmsley might finally win this time.

It sure does. I hate to jinx it though. 96.8 miles ain’t 100! Let’s go, Jim!!
