Lots of good news in here. Kara ran a race. Kara will be back in the news. Kara, kara. Oh, and we might get a new development on AS. Good. If they did testify, then something real is happening.

She and Adam just finished testifying against Alberto and Dr. Brown in Houston last week.
Some idiots want clean sport but also hold those willing to testify against Alberto as too guilty to help clean things up. Kara was a victim and is stepping forward to say so in court. She is a hero.
Anonymity sucks. If I told you who I am you would know it's the truth.
Adam and Kara were both testifying. They came and left together. The divorce theory is ridiculous.
1)No one is making you be anonymous. IF you want to post your name, feel free. If you are on to something, that would be amazing to have the whole Dr. Brown stuff done with one way or the other.
2) The divorce talk is absurd. I may delete it all. Do people not actually read the article? She specifically said everyone is fine in her family.
As it is not against any forum rules, that, sir, would be censorship.
Maybe she's getting a divorce.
Your points are fine, but grammatically it would be better to have said "whom you can't even name...", as "whom" is the object of the transitive verb "to name".

Many US elites hit their athletic retirement along with the realization that they do not have employment skills or the money to live another 40-50 years. Even with a degree, not too many employers in today's world will consider someone in their mid 30's - early 40's with no work experience. There are only so many shoe company marketing jobs and junior product developer gigs and those are shrinking commodity.
This sport has a lot of Peter Pan types that get hit hard when adulting is forced on them.
Nailed it
I’m sure the home in Boulder they have is worth well over $1million, possibly 2 million I am guessing so I doubt that’s it. This couple has already amassed more wealth than most on this message board working desk jobs right now ever will-FACT. Plus I’m just guessing here but Kara G probably earned significant income (perhaps no decline from her Nike years) from Oiselle last few years even if she is currently producing what letsrunners would define as hobbyjogger times. Reason? There’s more to making money at running than simply running fast times. Look at people with YouTube channels who only run sub 3 hrs but have tons of popularity and influence in the sport...So While I don’t know what the issue is, I highly doubt it’s financial.
hahaha, you throw keflezghi in that conversation? haha. You talking about the same keflezghi who wined and moaned when Galen beat him easily at his first marathon?
I disagree, the combination of Galen's accomplishments does indeed put him in the running as one of the greatest runners in history. He will most definitely be remembered 20 years from now.
Rupp isn't even as accomplished as Khannouchi, whom most on this board have forgotten by now. When it goes public that Rupp wouldn't have even been as good as he was without all the pharmaceutical help, he'll be remembered about the same as the level of Regina Jacobs, Hellebuyck, and Hesch.

how may Olympic medals does Khannouchi have?
She's a drama queen trying to be relevant. If she truly testified, she's putting on the "interview me Kara pre-show" to be relevant.
She complained about other elites and their shoes, because she was no longer with Nike and they weren't available when she was. She simply likes to complain and be heard. Sorry, it's truly that easy.
Brags and makes excuses about everything----to be heard and try to remain in the spotlight. That's her right to do so, but it's still the truth.
House in Boulder worth 2 million??? Yeah, ok. LOL!!!!

A runner's legacy is not measured by simply how many medals they have from the Olympics.

No but it is certainly one of the biggest factors.

Not true. I heard they are both getting gender reassignment surgery, but plan to remarry once the scars heal and whatnot.

This would be the 3rd time they were interviewed.
Does not make sense?
Her victim claim is an angle towards trying to get lawsuit to sue for money. Has nothing to do with anything other than making up for a lost Nike contract and seeking vengeance in a monetary form.
Her taking thyroid medications makes her a drug cheat looking for excuses.

This is very true. Rauschenberg has not gone under 2:20 in years but continues to rake it in with sponsor cash, book royalties, speaker fees, and maintains a superior Twitter following.

In a ten day period in 1972, Frank Shorter broke the American record in the 10,000 twice, and won the Olympic Marathon. Four years later, he came in second in the Olympic Marathon (read: first [non-drug aided]). Pretty good.
And in honor of "helpfulnote," yes, "ten day" should be hyphenated.
I actually think Magness let Salazar know about Dr. Brown, although he has been known in the track community for decades.
They're all playing with fire here. And there isn't really anyone who is 100% guilt free. It is all varying shades of grey area - Even for the whistleblowers.
Magness went to Dr. Brown around the time of his state record 1600. Carl Lewis went to him while he was a pro.
You see where this can get interesting?
If your job has become preaching to everyone on how to live their life via books and social media, you better be damn sure your house is in order.
Just to be clear. Taking thyroid meds isn’t against any rule, you don’t need a TUE for them. They aren’t illegal in anyway.
That is all.

She's not a true whistle blower.
She was a sour grapes spoiled child waiting to happen. Had Nike picked up her contract as she got older and less competitive, she'd be a happy camper still.
