Good point. Speaking of Donald Trump, do you think Trump will let Mo Farah in to the US after the muslim ban? Also, he is an immigrant (illegal) to the UK from Somalia, so the government will be wary that he will illegally immigrate to the us as well.

Serious answer, who says he won't? He hasn't run London. That's not the same as saying he won't run London.

His first marathon was the US Olympic trials. Obviously that wasn't compatible with running London. Next spring he ran Boston. Okay, he *could* have run London, but I'm sure Boston made a better offer and who can blame him? He did well. Really well. So he could go to London and get pounded or he could run Boston again, fresh off of his Chicago victory, and try for the win there.

Sure, I'd like to see him run London, but there's still time to do so in the future and his marathon choices are perfectly reasonable. Geb avoided London, preferring to time trial Dubai. Rupp is running a different major.

Why won't Desiree Linden run London?

What I think is that Mo has deeply embedded in his mind that Rupp is his b-tch and wants to demonstrate it once more. He may be up for the surprise of his life.

Not an illegal immigrant and not a refugee either. Farah's father was born in Britain.

British citizens have the right to bring their children to live with them regardless of where the kids were born.

I'd love to see Rupp run 2:03 but I don't think Chicago is the venue to do it. I do think Rupp could beat Farah though. It will be close for sure.

Rupp is in 2:02:30 - 2:03:00 shape right now. Mo will be left utterly cucked.

Sounds to me like he was in Britain on Study Visa that allows you to work enough each week to pay your bills and eat. He was likely on a Third World education scholarship. I'm not sure that entitles you to bring a family to Britain but he may well have had a visa by this stage or a refugee status due to the war.

I hope they both make it to the line.

As a British national that makes Mukhtar Farah's offspring ALSO British nationals, as nationality is determined by your parent (s) nationality, not the physical location you were born.

If you are an American, you derived your American citizenship from your parent(s) being American citizens, not because you were physically born in America.

In response to the earlier post that someone would like to see one of them run 2:03, I would like to see either or both of them run 2:03, or at least 2:04 low.
