Kiprop is right. Good for him speaking up.
He's another in a long line of runners who've been banned, not for doping, but due to greed and politics.
But also for doping.
This website is bonkers.

He dropped out of school very young to pursue running, as you can see. The most talented junior athlete Kenya has ever since has given up the fight and now feels his medals are nothing but junk. Speaking for MYSELF (so don't jump down my throat) he provided some the best entertainment in middle distance running, which can be boring to watch sometimes. I feel sorry for him. I don't know what happened or whether he doped or not, but he seems to strongly believe that he didn't.

Better call Saul!
As SprintGeezer said, he's taking advantage of people's good will and the fact people want to believe him. He knows he can't prove his innocence and leaving it this way makes it look to his supporters like the IAAF is the big bad guy and his followers will always believe him on blind faith. It's his best out at this point.
It also shows he has no integrity. Though I guess that was obvious the moment he tested positive.
this is what the problem is with you naive fanboys
willis was DRAGGED TO A 3:29.67 at monaco, his next best times are 3:32
so if the best kenyan will only run 3:31 NOW in monaco who is going to drag willis to 3:29? dear lord people are so dense on here.
i think willis is one of the cleanest guys out there yes, and he can only run 3:32 non monaco, dont link the 1500m all time list like i havent already checked it out 1,000 times. i would say i have at least 3 TIMES made the list, taken out EPO suspects, and EPO busts and monaco times from 2010 till now.....and it becomes pretty apparent that 3:32 is a PRETTY F*CKING FAST TIME....prob why willis can MEDAL when most runners have to be clean, and people claim "oh its tactical" no its clean cause most Olympics TEST hard. sadly they tend to just get tossed out
for the other guy mocking me.....kiprop got busted in NOV...NO ONE NEW ABOUT IT TILL IT WAS LEAKED A FEW WEEKS AGO. dont be a fool, kenyans had been in the dark about kiprop till the LEAK. now all the sudden its out in the open. dont be a fool. just cause EPO is used in the base phase, you act like kenyans havnet been busted for ANABOLIC STEROIDS.
it is quite the coincidence that tim went home to plant potatoes just when kiprop and rotich drama was hitting critical levels.
and mock me about 2:06-08....just wait, these 2:04s will be a thing of the past, and people will do the fanboy excuse..."it was always the pacers, glad we got ride of that and got back to racing"
right now though kipchoge is protected big time by nike, it would have to be some outside deal busting him. he will get the WR and retire, then no one will get close...
but what do i know? i only called kiprop going slower and or getting busted after rosa.....and people like YOU mocked me then

I KNOW that he doped.
He 'gave up the fight' because he doesn't have a case. Like I said from the start in the other monster thread about Kiprop. He tested positive in November and obviously would have told them his excuses back then. The AIU investigated, found no substance to any of his claims, and then he was charged in March. That's 5 months of investigating.
Kiprop's desperate BBC interview and Facebook posts are to try and hold onto some of his fans/credibility (clearly working for some, so kudos).
It does not cost anything to 'fight' the IAAF. There have been many athletes far less rich than Kiprop who have given exonerating circumstances over doping positives and the IAAF have accepted them. Do you think Shawn Barber paid $50k to tell the IAAF that he slept with a coked up hooker? It's LAUGHABLE for Kiprop to say he can't afford to plead his innocence.
Even Dutee Chand took the IAAF to the Court for Arbitration of Sport (significant level up from an IAAF hearing). There is no way in hell it cost any serious money. Chand is a poor female sprinter from India who has never made it past the heats in any major competition.
She beat the IAAF, btw. Had her ban overturned.
Kiprop just has nothing useful to say. Some rambling and crying that's all.
So you've already revised your 'clean' 1500m time from 3:35 to 3:31. Ok. Lol.
This timeline of events is in your head mindweak. It hasn't gone down how you think at all. Kiprop's positive became PUBLIC knowledge BEFORE the track season started. There was no 'heat' building up recently. This is just Letsrun make believe.
In the real world everyone knew about Kiprop's positive before Doha and Kenyans probably knew in December or so. Nobody in Kenya gonna ask questions as to why Kiprop isn't training with all the boys??
Three guys have already run quicker than 3:32 and Cheryuoit ran 3:31 two weeks ago. Two weeks.
We will continue to see faster and faster times throughout the year. Mark my words. I don't believe 3:26 is possible clean, but 3:31 obviously is. Someone will break 3:30 this year.
I'll remind you that you claimed 'increased testing' will lead to a drop off in times from Kenyans. Surely that increased testing would have started in November? Or was WADA waiting for you to give them the go ahead hahhaaha?
Why fight it when you know you are guilty. Time to plant some potatoes and save the rest of your tea money.

This guy sees past the smoke and mirrors. Kiprop has been on the decline for years and his care for running is gone. He was contemplating retirement so Kenya paid him to take EPO to show they have a strong anti doping agency by taking down the Lion. It’s all a show folks.
It has not been "shown to be bs" that having a specific physique will not give you certain advantages in certain sports.
Which of these is the runner and which is the powerlifter? It's completely ridiculous to think the morphological characteristics of your body have nothing to do with how fast you can run.

This is really tragic news, especially for all the youth in Kenya who idolized him.
Please note, a large group of Kenyan elites still support him.
Would be interesting to get Canova's view on the whole matter.
This case is not good for track and Kenyan athletics.
Interesting that in cycling, former dopers, or suspected dopers, like Contador and Virenque, can resume their careers, and still retain their popularity.
Don't even mention sports like baseball, football american, basketball -athletes there take stuff, and few bat an eyelid.
Oh stop it. Its nothing like tragic.
i will do this YET again and see if you guys who are on the fence and SEE the LIGHT

people want to claim nick willis monaco time, but no you cant cause you know from doing the research after the 2010 "resurfacing" people run 2-3 seconds faster there than ANYWHERE else, mr EPO kiprop included
kiprops best times
3:26.69 monaco
3:29.18 Ad-Dawhah
difference = 2.49 seconds
Silas Kiplagat best times
3:27.64 monaco
3:29.63 Ad-Dawhah
difference = 1.99 seconds
willis best times
3:29.66 monaco
3:32.17 paris
difference = 2.51
andrew wheatings best times
3:30.90 monaco
3:34.39 paris
difference = 3.49
so this leaves us with 2 kenyans and one brit. we have strong suspision that kenya is ripe with doping so that could mean it leaves crams 3:29.67 as the fastest time that wasnt part of the EPO era 92-06 or run at monaco 2010-now. said is not counted cause he tried pushing roids and HGH on austrailians.
to claim that the british were not on any dope would be biased and i think they were on roids and HGH just like said. so this is why i think 3:32 non monaco is what i think the record would be if there was never any PEDs.
What gives with the Brojos lately? They come from big money, big business, establishment worshipping and authority loving GOP stock but recently have advocated for:
1. Raising funds for a doper to fight the IAAF when the evidence is clear that he doped
2. Being concerned that a billionaire shoe company owner and a university are conspiring to skirt transparency laws on a privately funded venture
3. Regulating transgenders in the sport for fairness to women
This runs counter to their usual leanings that WADA , like cops, are always good and catch dirty cheaters, that the wealthy and powerful deserve to buy whatever they want because they earned it with capitalist success, and that winners are determined by performance and the free market, not socially engineered playing fields.
Ok cute, but Cheryuoit has already run 3:31 twice this season, Teferra ran 3:31 also, Iguider ran 3:32.
None in Monaco. All WELL after Kiprop's positive.
Sooo yah.
Expect 3:29 in Monaco as scheduled ?
oh really? so you say it was common knowledge? then how come our local heros on here rekrunner, renato and el k and ghost didnt have anything to say until it was LEAKED. im starting to really think you are a fan boy denier as well.
a name like kiprop in kenya getting busted would have been HUGE on LR instantly in nov, but nope we all had to wait till the LEAK, and instantly after the leak he had EXCUSES. he tried to keep a lid on it for EVER.
"Nobody in Kenya gonna ask questions as to why Kiprop isn't training with all the boys??"
pretty sure the first person to make excuses was renato saying he was INJURED, that turned out to be a LIE
Cheryuoit wont run faster than that the rest of the season unless its monaco.
his best times
3:29.10 monaco
3:31.22 roma
difference = 2.12 seconds
he is currently doing some farming and avoiding the track, and you think if kiprop is sooo poor maybe ol timmay should be out there trying to stack CASH
as far as i can see only 2 people have run sub 3:32, so maybe you can enlighten me on this third person....but lets just take a look at the 2018 1500m top times SO far

so you have tim who is planting potatoes and i predict he runs slower than that as the season goes on and claims some injury...from when he HAD to plant
some no name ethiopian whos best last year was 3:33.78
and a Moroccan, who is prob on that sauce as well, i mean they have a history of it and lots of busts

Farah is possibly the most tested man on the planet and still ran 3:28. If you follow him on Instagram you'll see he gets tested when in Ethiopia training also.
Even if you want to add your bullshit 2 seconds on top for Monaco then that's still 3:30 and way faster than your 3:33 or 3:35, you maniac.
So if every Kenyan is now tested as much as Farah is, you can still expect a good bunch to run quicker than 3:31. Unless you think Farah is some kind of 1500m WR holder lol.

Mate, you said 3:33-3:35. It's written permanently in this thread. Don't start changing your story to 3:31/3:32.
If they continue to run 3:31 times (like they already have) then obviously I'M correct, not you. Moron. If they run 3:29 then I'm even more correct.
I'll wait till the day when the elite can only run 3:33-3:35, then you can come on here and claim you are correct. Untill then you are talking out of your arse and clearly don't know anything about the sport.
right so you think he was a 3:33 guy at best till his late 20s then gets on al sal and stints with Aden and booom he is running 3:28s (in monaco, so 3:30s) and you want to get mad at me? lolz thats what is so ridiculous about LR
british people on here REFUSE to think paula doped, mo doped and that coe is some angel
kenyan people on here REFUSE to think their idols dope and that all white people are racist
then you have prob 50/50 americans on here that think rupp doped and al sal is shady.
i love america, but im not naive "maniac" as you put it to think that ALL AMERICANS were and always are CLEAN!!!
again mo late 20s 3:33 PR...you act like he did his 3:28 like KENYANS do, in their early 20s.
