Alright so starting next week is my schools summer cross country training club and our coach has ya doing long runs on mondays. The problem is that I’ve been doing my long runs on Saturdays for as long as I can remember. I did last weeks long run last Saturday so I’m kind of confused whether I should I do a long run in like the middle of the week or just not do one this week and just wait till Monday.
Is it even worth it to do a long run this week if I only had 3 days to recover from my last long run and then only 4 days to recover until my next long run?
Or is it better to have 9 days worth of recovery, skip the long run this week and just run more miles in my easy runs?
