Awesome to see the kid from Maine beat the punk ass gang banger wanna be Saruni. Don't like that guy, acts like a punk, showed his true colors by quitting at the line and finishing third.

Hahaha. After all the Saruni hype. Loses in a slow 800!

Don't forget that rain is faster than no rain due to it lowering air density.
Your ignorant. Water vapor is less dense that dry (80% nitrogen 20% oxygen )
Do the math genious.
Rain water is far more dense than air is, and your spelling sucks too.

He’s talking about air density....

Sub 1:45 isn't slow. We've been spoiled these past few years but that was an incredible time for these conditions
The Houston sprint crew loves Barraza.
2nd placer Marco Arop has been running track for... all of 2 years. Started in Spring 2016, this kid is the future http://www.dyestat.com/gprofile.php?mgroup_id=44531&do=news&news_id=495596

Wow that was judgmental. Saruni is incredibly talented, just lacks experience and knowledge of his own limits. Harris is an interesting guy himself, though, I’m unsure why you favor him over Saruni.
Rai Benjamin 47.02
#2 all time in 400m hurdles! Holy cow!
47.02!!!!! Rai Benjamin. WTF is in the air today
OMG USC!!!!!
Hmmmm... All of these fast times might make one think... Maybe these - aren't - bad conditions for most of these events.
That's it. From now on I'm going to consider 60 degrees and rainy the ideal sprint conditions.
Rai Benjamin on his 47.02: "I can't really complain."
Kendziera gets 2nd nearly beating Holloway in the 110H then half an hour later gets 3rd in the 400H! Has this ever been done before?

Agreed. Possibly xenophobic resentment of Kenyans? Prejudice regarding dreadlocks? Something struck a chord with this guy.
Arop's rate of progress is ridiculous. 1:45.2 for 2nd place. As a freshmen. I was an athlete in the same club as Arop up north in Canada. Two years ago it was impressive he ran 1:53. But to drop a 1:45 is just f**king insane. Like holy sh*t. We all knew he was a special talent, but even his former coaches didn't expect this rate of progress.
Some contrasting reactions to losses at NCAAs in the 800.
5th placer Devin Dixon called his showing "trash" and said nerves got to him.
Collegiate record holder and world leader Michael Saruni said he was happy with the showing as he did the best he could - the cool conditions just prevented him from winning.
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.

Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
