When you're the fastest guy in the field it's always dangerous to allow the race to be a sit and kick affair.
The VT guy who lead the race and finished 2nd ran very smart.

More foreign ringers in the 1500. This has to stop!
ciattei ran the least distance and finished 2nd because of it
Lack of American 1500m talent is sad.
Sub-4 high school mile hoopla means zero.
Drew Hunter might have been in mix if he'd gone to UofDuck.

Houston just smashed a 29year old 4 x 100 record of 38.23 on a cool and rainy day.
Place Team Time
1 HOUSTON Houston 38.17 SB FR MR CR
2 OHIO STATE Ohio State 38.75
3 FLORIDA Florida 38.89
4 ARKANSAS Arkansas 39.01
5 FLORIDA STATE Florida State 39.37
6 SOUTHERN MISS. Southern Miss. 39.49
7 NORTHWESTERN ST. Northwestern St. 39.63
N. CAROLINA A&T N. Carolina A&T DNF
Can Kerr get the 1500 record in the next race?
The collegiate record is 3:35.01. Meet record is 3:35.30
Don't forget that rain is faster than no rain due to it lowering air density.
Please re-take your physics course, humid air is more dense than dry air!
Is this steeplechase guy the best distance runner that Steve Magness has coached?
ESPN copies all their info from letsrun. Just said Norman's 43.03 split is the second-fastest of all time based on the LRC thread title when the IAAF website says otherwise (see right column, Wariner 42.93). Wonder who's correct...

Get real — five out of the top eight were American. The VT guy who got second is homegrown and true frosh Sam Worley — one of the HS sub-4 guys you dismissed — was an All-American, with a promising career in front of him.

I’m pretty sure he is.
I know our sport is sh*t and no one wants to see it, etc., but can you imagine ESPN cutting away during a football or basketball game and talking about what's coming up in the second half. For forks sake, ESPN producers, just show the action.
Ciattei ran great. Considering announcers never mentioned his name or gave him any props at all nor anybody on these boards. 2nd in ncaa indoor and outdoor champs. 2 time acc champ . Go perry hall!
I think this Houston guy is going to be caught on the last lap.
Very, very impressive for Barraza. Super strong with a decent lead with two laps to go, still on around 8:30 pace all by himself.
AND A NATIONAL CHAMP IN THE DMR
Aaah! Barazza falls with 10 meters on the field on the barrier. Would have been a huge PR :-/
Nice to see an American win the steeplechase!
Dennis Rodman is in Singapore
A Canuck won the NCAA 10k
The favorite lost in the men's 1500
Allie 0 will win the steeple and 5k
It's raining in Eugene
All is right with the world!!!

Damn that hurt to watch. Feels like that would have been his only chance at the title too, in a particularly weak / wide-open steeple year
These Jon Anderson interviews are so cringy
