My parents are in their mid 60s. My mom watches some movies on Turner Classic Movies, but in the last 25 years, she has probably only watched 5 movies that were made after 1990. My dad doesn't watch movies at all but will usually (somewhat begrudgingly) watch one with my sister or me if we ask him to. I would guess he's watched a total of 30 movies in the last 25 years.
Is that strange? It seems very strange to me.
Is it weird that neither of my parents watch movies?

I rarely watch movies. So no, not strange. For me, i would rather be doing something else than sitting in front of a TV for 2-3 hours (my attention span is terrible and I get bored). People do think it’s weird that I don’t watch movies but just not my thing.

No, there aren't that many movies worth watching anyway

I really want to see the Last King of Scotland. I haven't seen it yet, but I know it is literally Bekele's favorite film, so it has to be worth watching. Bekele also enjoys Mr Bean so I'm assuming he watched there films to. They were good. Television show was really good.

humans weren't meant to drink cow milk, it is much heavier than human milk -
Plus you can't spell puerile.

No it's not weird. When they were young they probably didnn't watch much TV so they don't have the same reverence for Hollywood formula BS that is expected of a 'normal' human.

Dad watches Pornhub movies, doesn't that count? -
Yes, it's weird. You should report them to Chairman Mao. Does your dad wear glasses as well?

Uncommon? Yes.
Weird? No. -
Most movies are targeted towards younger demographics. Old timeys have trouble relating to them. Also, as people age past their primes, they have more difficulty focusing and following the story. Combine these two factors, and movie watching isn't as engaging. They tend to prefer to watch older movies because (1) they already know the story so lapses in focus do not detract from their ability to follow the story and (2) the story is more relatable to them since it was written during a time of their life when they were the target audience.

It is strange to expect everyone to not be strange.

I'm in my late 50's and love movies. I watch them at home and at the theater. I can't imagine myself not watching movies as part of my life.
That said, I think it's more strange to watch too many movies than to not watch many (or any at all). Life is short and much of the time I use movies as a escape when I should be doing other things.
What do your parents do instead of movies? If they do something useful, then it's not strange at all. If they watch mindless TV, then, yea, maybe (some) movies would be a improvement. -

Not a movie fan and never have been so it is not an age thing for me and certainly not being unable to follow a complex story line or having a limited attention span. I regularly read print books for 3 hours without being bored.
People who quote famous movie lines bore me .
When I was born there were about 10,000 TV Household by the time I was graduated from HS 90% of US Household had TVs and today more than 50% of US Household have at least three working TVs
