Meucci is supposed to be the rabbit, and the plan is to pass 5000 at 13:50.

Gabius (who has not run on the track for a while and had two DNF in HM and Marathon in spring) wants to qualify for the European CS. While the official entry norm is only 28:55 or so, he will want to run around 28:00 to be sure to be among the 3 best German runners. Ringer is very probably the strongest this year, in any case his time from London is unlikely to be beaten by any other German this year. Amanal Petros is also in the Oslo race and Gabius will want to beat him and also clearly beat Petros' earlier 28:29. Because there is another candidate, somewhat erratic Homiyu Tesfaye (Maryam Jamal's bf) who so far has not even run 10000 but has run a 3:32 1500m and a 61:20 HM, so if he manages to finish a race before the end of June he will be a contender for a sub 28 time as well.
Ha! Maryam Jamal! I remember her when she had her original name. She used to destroy all the ladies in local road races. What's she up to these days?
Lol. Forget about any records or PBs. It's going to be 78F at race time.
Who do you like in today's matchup at 10k in Oslo.?
It's a shame this and the snowball throw aren't being shown on tv.

Well, the best runner in the world, who also happens to be white, is Galen Rupp, so this is basically a race to find out who is 2nd best. Further, the temps are hot in Oslo. No way are they going all out, and will be no way to tell who is better. Only who is better in running in the heat.
It's definitely been Rupp this last decade. Maybe the youngest Ingebrigsten could pass him up in a few years? Sondre Moen and Julien Wanders are great, but they aren't headliners like a few other white runners (Rupp, or Jager)
Anyway of watching this as general coverage doesn't start for another 50 mins I believe...
NRK has started coverage already, if you happen to be in Norway. It's probably unavailable outside of Norway, though.
2:47

Vernon leading, still on 27 high pace.
Gabius and Meucci already dropped out I believe
11:09, Vernon still rabbiting.
Even pacing - good job
14:00. Fell off a bit. Kiptarus 2nd rabbit.
Yep - he ran 27.52 a couple weeks back so in good form
They've fallen north of 28 minute pace but can still get under if they close well the last 3k.
We're assuming Wanders and Moen are 2 & 3 at the moment behind pacer...
Only 6 left in it once the pacer drops out!
Maybe pacer will win (3 laps left ) :-)
I think so
