Zach Bitter was also on an episode. I think he currently has the US 100 mile record.
He has a thing for ultras currently. He had on zach bitter like a month ago who apparently holds the US hundred mile record and he's had a few more on further back that I can remember. He also had on sebastian unger who said his mile PR was 4:12 but the didn't takl about running at all.
He's pretty prolific. I'd be he puts out like 10 hours a week on average.

He may not be educated in the traditional sense of going to college but I would would say that he is highly intelligent and enlightened.
Just look at what he has achieved with little or no family support or backing (likely one of the main reasons he did not go to college in the first place): he became world class at tae kwando, then because he was so damn funny in the locker rooms before tae kwando tournaments (and that must have taken huge guts and talent minutes before having to step in front of some highly trained athlete who is going to throw devastating kicks and punches at you which could knock your head off or even kill you) he became a highly respected commedian. Then he also developped investigative journalism skills and now runs an incredible podcast where he even interviewed world-class ultra runner Zach Bitter. He is gives kind and sincere interviews to guests from a very diverse range of backgrounds which just shows how open minded he is. He is also a multi millionaire to boot.

LOL. This question is laughable. Joe Rogan's success is a reflection of the fact that a lot of people (mostly apolitical, white men who enjoy UFC) feel they can relate to his point of view. It's not because he's a great interviewer. I gave his podcast a fair shot (listened to at least 50+ episodes) and (1) he doesn't do a great job of going in-depth with his interviewee (despite having them on for over 1.5 hours), (2) he is repetitive and rather predictable (80% of the time he's ranting about how in his view everyone is too PC, how social media has changed the nature of our news cycle and communication, and how if everyone just picked up a martial art we'd all be better off).
Remember, just because someone is popular, doesn't make them skilled at what they do (an appeal to popularity is a logical fallacy).
Also, while I'm here -- does no one else see the irony in the fact that he constantly promotes "objectivity," YET sells snake-oil-like pills that are supposed to make you smarter? C'mon people!
Howard Stern is by far a better interviewer than Joe Rogan.
Gonna go off-kilter here a little and mention Sean Evans. If you've never heard of Hot Ones, it's a ten question interview where the Evans and his celebrity guest eat increasingly spicy wings before each question. Not only is it incredibly entertaining, but Evans is such a great interviewer who can usually get something profound from his guests after blowing up their mouth. I'd recommend Neil deGrasse Tyson, Russel Brandt, or anyone that catches your eye:

I don't see how someone as successful as Joe Rogan in so many areas cannot be at least highly intelligent in some area. The guy has come from pretty much nowhere without any family or financial backing as far as I know and he has become one of the most famous podcasters in the English-speaking world. He may not be "academically intelligent" in terms of being able to solve physics equations and that sort of thing but I would guess that he must have a high level of social intelligence to achieve what he has done.

As for edgercation , he dropped out of the esteemed UMass- Boston after a year, . He is more of an every man, which is refreshin .

Dude is legit cool, but all he does is find common ground with his guests, and gives them a pass on the hard stuff.
