I remember an interview with Lorraine Moller in which she said she regrets not doing a distinct bounding phase later in her career.

ya, you want enough rest so it's quality, or injury is highly likely.. which is why the workaholic runners dripped the phase in the first place, which was the total end of nz world class runners, not that walker and crew did much of that....

He was my coach at Athletics West back in the '80s. All-around good-guy. Lots of fun. Forever the encourager. Humble to a fault...never talked about his glory days when he was a stud. Part of quite the New Zealand Threesome. Arbogast, Quax, Pasencia, Hunter were buddies and training partners back in the AW days. Two are no longer with us...I vote for me to go next, Steve...
Has Guy Arbogast passed away too?
Is that right? wrote:

A search doesn't show anything. If you have the thread please post it.
Arbogast always kept in great shape through the years, so his early passing is surprising.
I don't have the thread, It was definitely here, maybe two years ago? I think it was cancer that got him.
Here you go. It turned up pretty easily when I searched.
Snob, someone beat you to it by two damn hours.
