This is quite something, considering the Bislett mile success. I’d assume more kids would want to run in Norway. Thanks for the list.

Henrik and Filip ran their fastest times when they were 24 yrs old. i wonder how long their careers will last since they started training so early? Jakob is pretty much the only one who decided from a very early age he wanted to focus solely on running and not running AND XC skiing. We'll see who improves their PB. lot's of guys have been running fast into their 30's lately...
alan webb's best season was also when he was 24...
Many, many injuries between henrik and filip have curtailed progression at times. Henrik has a pb för 5000m only 2-3 weeks previously.

Don't forget, Jakob has run 8:26 in the steeplechase as well. No way Bekele would have even attempted that. Too short to get over the barriers.
Ever watch his xc races? He got over the hale bays pretty easily.

Watching Jakob ingebrigtsen is fun. Watching the expectations for him go into orbit here is also fun -- the next Bekele, the next El G. Maybe he is the next Eliud Kipchoge. Maybe he is some sort of reincarnation of Zatopek -- they share the same birthday. Maybe he is a Norse god.
I will say this about his 3:52 mile -- his hair was perfect.
I think he'll be the next Vebjørn Rodal

And then some.
Yes lots of shenanigans in Norway.
I have been to Norway several times, even done road races there. I have good friends there who are medical doctors and other high level professionals. I would also remind the historically forgetful that two Norwegian females were the best female marathoners in the world back in the early "sub 2:30" days for women. Norway as noted by "develop this" is a HIGHLY advanced society with GREAT health care systems. Records will be accurate there as opposed to much of Africa, which I have also taken running groups to 4X for the Comrades Marathon in South Africa.
Clearly it is safe to trust age records for Norwegian citizens and to have concerns at least about exact ages for those from Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, etc. where records are not kept "officially."
Bfd. Driouch ran 3:50 at that age.
Dopecheat and nobody knows his age.
Didn’t cheat in 2012 and his age is legit.
I don't think you understand what the word "racist" means. No one can be racist towards white people. Please google "white supremacy" and educate yourself before you attempt to speak on racism.[/quote]
rac·ism

noun
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.
You my friend need an education. Racism can go both ways.

If you are sure, I am sure, for sure.
Driouch was doping. Too bad. He looked like the second coming of El Guerrouj, because he was running those incredible times (3:50/3:33/2:16 at age 17-18) while daring to take the lead of a Diamond League style race and pushing for great times. He had the right mentality in the races. Unfortunately, he also was doping like crazy.
Ingebrigtsen should be heralded now that he has run 3:52 at 17. That is truly impressive.
The Scandanavian.
What are the odds he's eaten Swedish meatballs!

*Almost* the faster ever run by a 17 year old.
When Hamza Driouch ran 3:50.90, he was 17 years 204 days old. Today Jakob is 17 years 249 days old.
That's faster than Jim Ryun ever ran.

What does that have to do with running fast times?
Watching the pre-meet press conference with Team Ingebrigtsen for Bislett Games. Jakob is running the 1500, while his brothers are running the dream mile.
Jakob is being paced for a 3:35 finish.
He will go 3:34
