Amos "jumped " more or less from second to first lane directly into Korir and there is when the unavoidable contact happened
This is not what happened.
I recorded the slow motion from the TV with the slow motion on my phone. After watching it several times forward and backward you'll realize that Amos' left leg doesn't contact anything at any point. You'll be able to infer that Korir's right heel which is recovering toward his butt contacts Amos' left hand contacts it on its backswing causing his right foot to clip the back of his left knee. The view of this is blocked by Korir's body but you can see Amos' hand swing inward a bit as if it was contacted by something. Contact is even more accidental than we thought .
