Outside of church, the largest concentration of Christians I ever encountered was in med school. I'm not particularly religious myself, but I don't think that believing in science and religion are antithetical.
Most religious scientists/physicians I know believe that God created us, but that he gave us the ability and desire to learn about ourselves and our world through scientific inquiry. So they don't just reject the idea that science and religion are incompatible. They basically believe that learning about the world through science and applying that learning to make the world a better place is exactly what God wants, and that they are adhering to their religion by being scientists.
