Ingebrigsten's 3:56 is by light years the slowest time of the Bowerman milers. Off the back end by a bunch. It would also be the second or 3rd slowest of the International mile guys. Look up their PR's at IAAF before you spout how a 3:56 guy is good enough to even be in the International mile. He's in the International mile for a side show. He's great for a 17 year old. That's why he's in there. The only way he finishes high is if it's a sit and kick slow pace. Like at Payton Jordan. If it goes 3:54 or better, he's toast.

Colby Alexander and Eric Avila are also in the field according to the official Pre Classic site. Also, Kenyan Jonathan Sawe will run. Additionally, Casmir Loxsom will pace thru 880 and Pat Casey will take it thru 3/4.

They've added to the field. There are at least 2 Kenyans, a Morroccan, an Austrailian and the Americans. Pretty decent international flavor.
Hasty is using the field to go sub 4 minute mile. He will be in the back drafting off of other runners. Why doesn't he race against high school kids and win? Horter has a 4:04 mile already and he races against weak fields. Be great if high schoolers would race eachother instead of chasing fast times against 27 yr olds.
