Hunter's been out of high school for a couple of years already, and his fastest 5000 is only 13:50.
By the way that's much faster than he ran in high school, so his 5000m potential doesn't seem very high.
Christ, he ran ONE 5k and finished third (one behind Centro, for what it's worth) in a season when he was training for the mile/1500, with the trials for the World Championships on the horizon. And he made the finals of the 1500m at those trials, which is an incredible accomplishment.
SO WHAT that he only ran a 13:49.56 5k on May 5, 2017! Not bad at all. Not world-class, but a great accomplishment, in its own right, for a first 5k ever, for a kid specializing in the 1500/mile!
