Sarah Sellers has signed with Altra. I've never heard of this company until now. Do they sponsor many runners? Wonder what kind of deal she is getting?

From all the hate ultrarunner get on LRC, I'm surprised you've never heard of Altra.

Why don't you use a site called Google?
But I have to admit, she wears a TON of makeup in the eye area, HOLY COW it's caked on!

It's called a photo shoot. Holy cow.
That's called smokey eye. Learned about it from Michelle Wolf.

Looks like they were trying to match her running top. Unfortunately makes it harder to see bushes until it's too late.
I predict a serious injury in the next 6 months.

I'm excited and happy for her. But yeah, I hope she doesn't change much, otherwise I fear you'll be right about that injury.
Speaking of Altra, I tried their shoes, and my feet felt like they were simply lying on a flat board. It didn't feel like a running shoe, and I developed pain in my plantar fascia as soon as I started to run in them.
Is that normal, and it takes awhile for the foot to adjust to them?
Usually, If I have a problem with a shoe, there will be an issue in my upper body, but never in my feet. No shoe has ever made my feet hurt except for Altra.

Which model did you try? I have found a couple like that (mostly the Instinct), but others are a nice mix of plush and flexible.
Mormon....... Gross. Good lord you Americans believe in some stupid shiit.
Can't we have one thread on here where we can just be excited for a female runner for doing something good without focusing on their looks? Just one?
Good for her. This is a case study on how good looks and name recognition are more important than pure talent. Marketing does not have to be purely based on merit.

Hypocrite much?
You used the title of Lord which is directly associated to the Bible. Plus, if you're Japanese then you used to think your Emperor was a God. How did Nagasaki and Hiroshima work out.
Is this Altra's first attempt at actually sponsoring a pro runner?

Tyler McCandless is also sponsored by Altra. I not aware of any other non-ultrarunners that they sponsor (except Sara).

Altra has a zero drop on all their models. It can take a while to get used to.
We need to focus on her running accomplishments, not her good looks or perfect round rear.
