Many guys are fairly shallow and only judge women by their physical appearance.
The majority of US culture is conditioned to favor curvier women, and most guys tend to prefer those body types.
Most people in the US are not into health, fitness or competitive endurance sports participation, so they do not care about or appreciate the effort, discipline and work it requires to obtain and maintain a lean, strong and fit body.
You have to understand that runners are a small percentage of the US population. This should come as no surprise.
A smaller percentage of the US male population (including some runners) can and will appreciate and acknowledge women with leaner, fit bodies.
You might get even more attention (but not from me) if you were 5'7" and 145, especially if this came with bigger boobs and a butt.
I am not sure if this is the type of attention you want.
I do not know about you, but I enjoy the attention I receive from people who appreciate me for who I am, rather than those who give me attention based on appearance alone.
