Yesterday I received junk mail from Health I.Q. for life insurance advertising savings for runners. I'm sure most of you have seen their ads on this website. I don't believe that I've ever clicked on their ad until today. I'm trying to figure out how Health I.Q. got my home address. It's no big deal but it just made me wonder.
Since they are targeting me as a runner, there are a couple sources I would think of first. I spend lots of time here. However, I assume Let's Run doesn't have my info besides email address.
I figure that the primary suspect would be through a race company when I signed up and didn't check/uncheck a box that indicated I would be ok with them sharing my info. However, I've only entered one race since 2012. That registration was through Active.com in 2016 and I haven't received any other junk mail since then that would make me suspect them as the source. What's more strange is that I moved after that race and haven't provided my mailing address or even email address to any running related besides this site when posting under my registered user name.
Any of you also get a mailing from them recently or in the past? And any ideas of how Health I.Q. got my info besides from Active.com?
