No taper, hilly course, solo effort ... you had a very solid result today. And an overall win! Was there an award ceremony? I enjoying a cold Sam Adams Summer Ale and surfing LRC at the bar when the overall win award was announced out on the patio. Missed it! Haha!

Yes, there was a small awards ceremony, and it was nice being first. A few pictures, too. They had me pose with the overall female winner, and that was a real hoot. A cute little blonde girl that I am guessing was around 13. Old and young made for an interesting photo.
Also, the same guy runs the race every year. It was my fourth or fifth time running it. Anyway, when he called me up for my medal, he mentioned to everyone that he “remembers the look of disappointment” I had on my face last year when I crossed the line and did not win (4th in 18:17) and so he was happy for me that I had won this year. I thought that was nice...made me smile.
