Much has changed in Western society, I think we can agree on that point. The disagreement comes when evaluating if that change is a net negative or a net positive. I think that is the crux of the major disagreement of our time. I would argue that the change is a net positive.
Western—largely Judeo-Christian—culture has progressed much faster than say Islamic culture. Much of the wars we fight today are because of this lack of progress in some secs of Islam. Hopefully, you would agree that the Islam which we find problematic as Westerners is due to specific branches of Islam failing to catch up to the 21st century—or heck even the 19th century.
So it is truly fascinating as a Westerner to here those on the right in the US argue for things that where in vogue in the 18th and 19th century.
With that in mind...
Here is a link to a story about how education and access to contraception dropped the abortion rate by 50% In Colorado—which also saved the state $70 milllion dollars in expenses for social services, etc. for low income moms/families. I’ve linked a story and the primary data.

Behavior has not changed—people have been having sex as teenagers since the beginning of time. What has changed is that we now expect them not to do this because we are no longer a society that values teen brides and popping out tons of kids. This is not a bad thing....unless you’re an ISIS / Taliban sympathizer.
