Just take a look at the aftermath of his last race, where everyone is congratulating each other and he is lying there on the track. Everyone ignores him and certainly don' help him get up. Giving the U.S. a bad rap. At least Rupp never messed with other's races like that.

Rupp was never really battling for the win in Diamond League 5k races, so he couldn’t look bad.
...just wanted to point out the 2015 Pre Classic 5k as an example of where I think Rupp battled FTW:

Hard to be physical with someone at the line when you lose by 2 seconds vs. .02 seconds.
When was the last time Chelimo wasn’t a split second from winning (or won) a 3k/5k that he ran in? I honestly am asking here as I don’t know.
Chelimo's got a really bad habit of shoving other runners near the line. DQd and reinstated in Rio. DQ in the DL final last year (I still can't believe Edris didn't dislocate a shoulder or something in the fall he took). Should have been a DQ in this race - Balew had to go all the way out to Lane 4 and still got him. Officials just have to keep DQing him until he learns to keep his arms to himself.

Doha Diamond League 3k last year where Kwemoi won in 7:28 vs Chelimo second in 7:31 if I recalled correctly.
