Boy Meets World has the slight edge
Good question. I never really thought about how similar these shows were before. To me though, Wonder Years gets the nod as it was more entertaining imo and seemed to deal with coming of age topics on a more serious level (you didn’t see things like drinking and gambling much on Boy Meets World iirc). Also, the technique of using Kevin Arnold’s inner thoughts was great and Wonder Years made more use of current events.

I never actually thought about that either, I'm actually kind of mind blown that I never put that together. Especially with the savage brothers being on both. I prefer Boy Meets World though. That was my jam as a kind. And no mature topics? Did you forget the episode where Topenga showed Corey her butt?
Now, the real answer-Neither.
Now the real question, Doogie Howser or Blossom?

That episode got me through a tough period in my life.
Winnie Cooper, enough said...
Fugazi
I grew up in the Wonder Years era. It was nostalgic for me. I loved Boy Meets World- my (at the time) soon to be wife and I would watch it together. It brings back memories of being young and looking forward to our future together.
Wonder Years
My memory is a bit hazy haha. Still, Winnie > Topanga.
Wonder Years was the better show, but I can see the appeal of both depending on age.
As a 40 year old, I used to watch Wonder Years with my boomer parents who would explain all of the current events to me. It was fun. Wednesday nights, I think? It was a family thing. I never watched Boy Meets World regularly, just in syndication on occasion.
Boy Meets World was primarily a sketch comedy that incorporated serious episodes into the season (in a good way). Like a higher quality Saved by the Bell.
Wonder Years was more of a drama that had some funny moments, like Stand By Me but a TV Show.
Wonder Years was way ahead of its time and still beats 99% of television (even in the era of NetFlix).
Just a quick PS to point out that the Dad and the Coach in Wonder Years were two of the best characters in all of television, with Wayne trailing close behind.
The writing was superb.
But Wonder Years has the more established band rocking its name.
The real answer is that the best Savage lead show is the Grinder. Such a shame it only got one season.

Ok, I've seen a lot of stupid things on this site, but this is BY FAR THE STUPIDEST THING EVER POSTED!
And, fwiw, Kelly > Winnie > Topanga
