Exactly. My bf goes to the gym, runs in the morning and drink 1-2 shots of really good Khor vodka, I believe it's one of the best selling vodka in world (cause if you drink some crap for $0.1. and much of it, you shouldn't expect good health)

No it doesn’t. If you look after yourself, alcohol will not impact you as long as it is once in a while. I eat a fully paleo diet, supplement and exercise every day. I drink red wine about four times a year, usually around 2-4 glasses. That, is fine. Drinking every day while eating rubbish, is not fine.
Not that bad really. You just have a bunch of teetotalers espousing their views much like evangelical Christians.
A couple people mentioned this, but without fail, if I have 2-3 drinks, the next morning my resting heart rate is about 10 bpm higher than normal.
You know what else makes my resting heart rate higher? Being sick. Being dehydrated. And not being recovered from a hard workout. So I would say alcohol impedes recovery to some extent and isn’t ideal during training.
That said, I still drink sometimes, just like I still eat candy and stay up too late and sometimes skip workouts. Life is all about balance. Sometimes the fun choice beats the healthy one!
Alcohol is very bad for our organism and the abusive use of provides the addiction. Alcohol abuse can occur over a long period of time, making it hard to pinpoint dramatic changes in behavior. Alcoholism is moving beyond casual drinks with friends. In many situations, addiction occurs when tolerance develops. I read from https://fherehab.com/alcohol-addiction/ that this is not a joke and I started to drink rarely this poison. Earlier I was drinking every weekend but now it happens once per month.
Could you tell me some more information about it? Let’s talk in PM

What? I drink only a few beers a week. I was just wondering. I know guuys like Shorter, Pre, etc all hit the booze pretty hard so I was curious. They are still alive and doing well and raced well
Got bad news for you about Pre. Anyway, you are rationalizing too much in the original post for me to believe you don't have a problem.
Even worse, Pre actually was killed by booze. Was drunk driving after a party and crashed his car. The coroner measured a BAC of 0.16
A little bit of alcohol isn't bad for you, and I think once in awhile could be good for you. Just to poison your body a bit and get it going.
People who drink more than once every 2 weeks are drinking too much. Its a poison.
Alcohol is harmful by all accounts. The only excuse is that it helps you sleep. It is well known that alcohol helps you fall asleep more quickly, but the sleep of a drunk person is by no means serene. The presence of alcohol in the bloodstream disturbs the order and duration of sleep phases. When a person falls asleep while drunk, he immediately enters deep sleep, but in the second half of the night, the body begins to eliminate toxins, actively shortening the deep sleep phase. Consequently, the body does not have time to complete the vital processes. A man wakes up tired, sluggish, and dehydrated. Therefore, people who read that alcohol is useful should read at least https://www.theluckiestclub.com/resources/how-to-remain-in-sobriety-after-dry-january and draw conclusions.
I am a runner for almost 50 years and until 15 years ago was drinking alcoholic like. I was in denial until I lost almost everything.
When I was younger I thought I was impervious to it, but here I am barely scraping by at 61 years old.
If you are drinking more than once a week and more than two, please stop. I am at the point where if I were to have just one, I would be off to the races.
I went through all of my savings, drinking everyday, I finally stopped but the damage was done
Alcohol can't be good but South Koreans drink like like fish with long life expectancy unlike Americans. So Big Mac's and dairy are probably much worse than alcohol.
Tight, brah.
New evidence shows that any alcohol actually shrinks the brain. The more, the more accelerated. Even the theory that some was good is not right anymore. Alcohol is probably just negative. I prescribe running twice a day instead. That makes me feel really good and no need for alcohol.
They looked at 37000 UK middle/old aged to see if alcohol consumption and brain characteristics collerated and it did. The more they drank the more the impact on the brain, actually at an exponential rate meaning if you cut the drinking in half the effect is reduced more than half.
I thought drinking som red wine would be good each day, and have had plans to start that tradition, but I won't now... No alcohol is best
It will hurt you more than the sedentary folk because your body will divert resources from adapting/getting stronger from the workouts to clearing out the toxin. Potentially making the last workout counterproductive/reducing to overall fitness level.
