I love "good" satire.

dfezef is CORRECT as well as the OP that began this thread. OUR Army, signs these guys up under FALSE PRETENSES via the Military Accessions Vital to National Interest (MAVNI) program. Ostentisbly, to utilize their language/cultural skills in the Global War on Terror (GWOT) specifically their on the Kenya/Somalia border. That said, instead of defending our country OUR Army issues them citzenship and a WCAP singlet to disrupt our fragile post-collegiate system.

- Great ... take a look at this WCAP work-out at Fort Carson.

Kipchirchir finished his obligation to his country.
Only 15% of the millions of First Responders employed by the US Civilian Government and Conventional Military Branches are ground attack grunts.
100% of the US Marines are ground attack grunts.
The standard Pentagon armed services (non USMC) are mostly back office workers so why pick on Shadrack alone. He did what the Pentagon wanted and that's that.
A manned military is an anachronism anyway. Waste of money and time. Much cheap to just turn it into a pro track club. I say we bring more aboard - thanks for convincing me.

- He did not .... OUR Army scammed the MAVNI program & subsidized chain immigration that took Olympic/World Championship spots from real Americans: Those whose parents parents paid taxes!

Sore loser. Crybaby.

So much for FloTrack's "Solider's First" puff piece ... This program is just a manipulation of the rules to fasttrack the US citizenship process.
Soldier’s what is first?
I can only assume this is trolling because few people are willing to make their ignorance this public. Some people are Americans because their mom got knocked up in the backseat of a Chevy...others because they raised their hand and pledged their life to defend this country. When Elkanah enlisted, he had no intention of joining the WCAP, he worked in the finance office. In fact, his times did not qualify him for WCAP, he got a waiver and did us proud. He ships to OCS after the fall marathon because his racing is not going to define his military career. No Kenyan is taking an Americans spot in WCAP...they take the best soldiers available who meet the standard...a meritocracy. This proves why Kenyans are more successful runners...they work harder than we do plain and simple.

They take American spots in the Olympics and at Worlds.
And do you really believe they were recruited because they were the "best soldiers", not because they run very fast?
Every elite American runner is researching these days if they have some great-grandmother in a foreign country, because the Kenyans take their spots. Pappas goes to Greece, Torrence to Peru...

And what's more American than making some CASH MONEY with his skills? He did his time, got his citizenship, and represented the US with integrity and honor.
Are they not American? That are citizens now.
Alan
Let’s not forget the true Americans who actually gave up their spots they earned on world championship teams because of money:
Rupp: 2018 world half marathon championships; 2017 London world outdoor track championships (marathin)
Derrick: 2017 world cross country championships
Who is the true American here?
Neil,
Thanks for your service what's your rank?

Fool, because the military does not pay performance bonuses to enlistees.
Then it’s a good thing the military isn’t the one paying out prize money at races, eh?
Prize money and performance bonuses are two different things. Do you think someone like Rupp only earns prize money for racing?

I really wonder how they have time to train so much, because I assume they must be very busy killing Muslim terrorists in some African country.
Quite honestly, the number of support personnel to front line soldier is along the lines of 7:1. If he would have been firing a rifle, it would have been the exception, not the rule (other than in training). You've watched too many war movies. More people spend time behind desks than in a foxhole.
Not quite sure how this program works? I've heard its pretty liberal, with the guy basically running full time and not reporting to duty what so ever.
Do they attend basic and a tech school? Or just basic and start running directly after.
Not sure if this is what the Army had in mind when they started this back when, the way its being used now
