Things going through my epigrammatic mind as I peruse Let'sRun posts about Mr. Rupp's recent marathon earlier today:,
1. I'm not a Rupp fan, but I do think it was a solid effort/time.
2. I'm not a Rupp hater, but I understand why people are. True or not, allegations/rumors can ruin a person's reputation.
3. On Let'sRun it seems everyone is skeptical of everything/everyone...except themselves and their own skepticism.
4. If you win without running fast it seems most Let'sRun posters aren't happy.
5. If you run fast without winning it seems most Let'sRun posters aren't happy.
6. If you win, while running fast...see #3 above or most Let'sRun posters downplay the 'majorness' of the race itself.
7. Multiculturalism has ruined us, although I am not for cultural homogeneity in everything.
8. Since cultures are constantly in flux and changing, multiculturalism is really nothing more than a fallacy and/or a tautology.
9. If someone is skeptical of a foreign born athlete Let'sRun posters cry, "Racist!"
10. Racism isn't racism anymore because it seems everyone is racist, therefore all ad hominem remarks of said accusation fall flat.
11. If someone is supportive of an American "born" athlete they are vilified as 'nationalist', 'colonialists', 'supremacists', etc..
12. Any body who is supportive of any country then, is the same as their own accusations and thus the accusations, again, are moot.
Peace my fellow posters.
