But just as likely a 2:08 or so.
I’ll get up early to watch the live stream... if he’s around 63 at the half then I’ll watch otherwise back to bed.

2:04:52
Of course with 1 day advance notice for URINE test in 2018 or no test at all - compared with full blood tests for him some 27? times in a year?
NONE of those cheating MF will ever run under 2:05 under controlled environment of lets say 6 months without going in those sh!t holes countries for "altitude training".
If a Kenyan can't hasn't run faster than this course record then why do you think rupp can?

There would be nine that have ran faster than low 2:05 this year, but that's on flat ultra-fast paced courses. Rupp would be #1 in the world if he managed that but I don't think it's possible in Prague.
Number 1 in the world at what?
Kipchoge is clearly number 1 in the world even if Rupp runs 2:03 in his next marathon.
Yeah sure Rupp "haters" will eat crow. More likely that Rupp eats dust served up to him just like Yuki prepared. Can't wait to see another 2:09 but you guys won't shut up for another few years at least.
What's the prize money for this marathon? Is he just running it for a fast time?

If Rupp runs a 2:03, that would be faster than Kipchoge is capable right now, so I would think that would make him number one? Or are there some other subjective criteria?
2:06:42

If your criteria is 'right now' then the current World No. 1 is Ezekiel Omullo who won the Warsaw Marathon in 02:11:17 on the 29th April. Nobody has run faster since then.
Current race time forecast for Prague is 57 F rising slightly to 61 F.
Assuming the forecast holds up and the pacing is honest, I would be shocked if Rupp does not run faster than 2:07:00.
This course just isn’t fast enough. I believe Rupp’s best under ideal conditions is 2:05:xx but he’s probably going to be doing most of the work himself late into the race.
Looks like 15,000 euro. And bonuses If you run under 2:05 - 50,000 euro, 2:07 30,000 and 100,000 for world record. Plus appearance fees.
No wonder he didn’t tough out Boston. Gotta feed the family. Actually pretty good but not quite as good as Boston.
Rupp has run in Prague before. It would not surprise me if the course has been previewed by Salazar at least before for this sort of contingency. With all they do, I do not think they are running this course "blind" as in not knowing ahead of time that the course is suitable for the goal of running fast.
Will this pu$$y ever face the big guys in London, Berlin, Tokyo,?
Not in this life...
He should have the balls Mo had, by choosing London
Kipchoge and Rupps mile time are the same. 3:50. And they share similar track backgrounds. Both have coaches which have been with them from the start. I would say Rupp could run a 2:03 or 2:04 in perfect conditions.
For prague i say 2:07.25
If anything, he may low his PB by 2minutes, putting him at low 2:07 . Unless he is at an ultra fast race (LONDON, BERLIN, DUBAI) its not gonna happen. Tomorrow is not an ULTRA fast race by any means.

How does this make any sense? Kipchoge just ran a low 2:04 in one of the highest recorded temperatures in London Marathon history. Do you believe he could have ran 2:02:1X in perfect temperatures? No. Rupp ran that pb 5 years ago and Kipchoge ran his mile pb in 2004. It means nothing to their current marathon capabilities.
galens 10 k time is better than kipchoge s. He ran that fairly recent. If your looking at projecting someones marathon time 10 k is the best predictor. Even kipchoge made comments during the olympics that galen is one to watch.
Both have very similiar track times and work ethics.
