By what you wrote seem like you are saying that Jakob had peaked for this race. What makes you think that he is not in the start of his build up for the season. This kid surely will run the IAAF U20 champs and the Euro Sr Champs later this summer so he has lots to point to and this is just 1 step towards that. Also last year this kid kept racing and getting better and better.
Yes, he's in his buildup, just like everyone else.
The difference is that he's likely trying to do a continuous career progression with focus on maintaining all gains rather than yo-yoing up and down with fitness levels through each season.
Comeon wrote: Yes, I will ignore your posts going forward, and perhaps you can ignore the urge to push Kenyan athletics in every thread.
Why shouldn't he push Kenyan athletics? He's a rare Kenyan here and Kenya is the center of world distance running. Last time I checked this was letsrun.com.
Well, let's run! There is altogether too much concern with race and doping on this board, and el Keniamo is the most interesting poster most of the time because he focuses on the best runners.
There are plenty of pharma sites if you want them, but only one Letrun.
Race is a fact of life, easy to exaggerate; racism is an obsession with it, not merely an interest in obvious differences.
Doping is a problem, but it is dwarfed by the extreme violations represented by a Caster Semenya and her ilk, and the egregious incompetence of the officials who let them run as women. Microdosing EPO is almost irrelevant by comparison.
Doping may turn out to be impossible to police without a police state. Most people do not want to dope and jeopardize their health but some will always find a way. I think this board overreacts in its claims that the sport is ruined by these "violations." It's only ruined if you want to focus on it.
Similarly advantaged are people who can move to high altitudes or follow scientifically perfect diets or live in altitude tents or have the best medical care or perfect dirt trails and tracks available at all times or have access to the most advanced footware. At the current stage of human civilization, there is no such thing as "natural."
So let's give Kiprop the benefit of the doubt. Regardless of doping he has been among the world's most impressive runners for almost a decade. Let's also appreciate Centrowitz's strategic coup in defeating him at the Olympics.
It seems to me to focus on drugs is perverse in the face of such wonderful races as the Boston Marathon this year where Yuki Kawauchi proved out an entirely new strategy of training and tactics regardless of the pills and syringes among the hoards behind him.

AGE CHEAT!
DOPER!
COE! CRAM! OVETT!
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!
What did I miss?
Well, when it comes to a country that has loose testing and corrupt-to-the-core ADA, such sentiments are understandable.
What's ADA? Americans with Disabilities Act? Why would other countries have an Americans with Disabilities Act?

Fixed this for you.
These Ingrebritsen guys are dopers.
The dude has better conditioning from a younger age than most Kenyans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhsk3lnlkSg
JI quote in norwegian newspaper,
:
" Nå kommer vi rett ned fra høyden til dette stevnet med masse mengdetrening i kroppen. Formen har ikke blitt spisset i det hele tatt inn mot dette stevnet, understreker han."
Translates to:
"We (The Ingebrigtsens) came straight from altitude (Flagstaff) with a lot of high mileage. We did absolutely nothing to peak before this race."

Do you realize what a racist freak you are? A thread about Jakob performing an incredible feat, and instead of El K saying 'well done', he butts in with nothing but a link to a black teenage runner. And then you reply to him that I'm a dog and we're all racist here?
So basically to even note a fine performance by a non-African runnner on this board is now racist?

Any thread you post in is contaminated, you are clearly racist and have mental issues which I don’t even want to talk about as mental illness is not a joke
Prediction: Jakob will beat out Henrik and Filip in the European championships and win.
Season best? Low 33 or high 32.
Flagstaff is the best place in the entire country to get drugs and everyone knows why runners go there. Just ask Abdi.

So are you saying that racism against whites is good but racism against blacks is bad? Because this is what it seems like you're trying to convey here.

Kind of ironic that you used a racist remark doncha think?
Neanderthals literally weren't people.

On paper maybe but in real life they are in Jakob's DNA therefore they must be.

Yes. It improves a lot. For people with asthma, and it is very very legal, unless too much is taken over a short period of time.
The guy and his doctor were idiots, as was the case with the lip ointment for the girl, but to use those two cases against a 17 year old as proof or indication for him using epo? Come on.
You missed a lot of skiing news then. The questionable asthma medication use by Norway was much more serious than you present. It was pushed by the federation/national team, even on the junior skiers, and for skiers with no asthma.

Big deal.
The reason I linked George Manangoi's profile is because people here were making like that 3:39 is unheard of for a 17-year-old. So now they are upset saying I'm pouring cold water's Jakob Ingebrigtsen's achievement, and that George has no place on this thread? Dude. This kid has run 4 seconds faster and also happens to be two months younger. He's another Kenyan you'll be accusing of being "doped to the gills" and 7 years older than his actual age, in the coming years i.e. the proverbial thorn in the LRC's side. I was just giving you all fair warning: you'll be hating George for a long time.

The racist freak is you, C. You were the one originally detailing the thread. We could have just congratulated this fine young Norwegian lad, but you had to make an African vs white Westerner thing out if it, as is plainly obvious in your first post on page one. Stirring racial hatred is always much easier than the opposite. You are a despicable human being.
@all others: ignore this troll from now on.

The fraud - El Keniano - pretending to be Kenyan is ridiculous.
Here's a good, close-up pic of Manangoi LAST YEAR when he was supposedly 16:
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/N7Jl2-zA7BI/maxresdefault.jpgHere's an interview with the then "16 year old":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7Jl2-zA7BIManangoi is at least 20 / 21 right now. Great runner. But not a teenager. No doubt about it.
Officials in track need to do what was done in soccer as someone else pointed out. Officials began using an MRI wrist scan to weed out cheats. The African and some Asian soccer federations went batty when it was discovered their teams were loaded with cheats. The domination of junior soccer by Nigeria and other African teams suddenly faded. (
https://www.thenational.ae/sport/use-of-mri-technology-is-helping-fifa-in-age-battle-1.479733) Of course, PC kuks from the US tried to dive in, even Scientific American joined the fray, desperately trying to aid third world cheats by lying through their teeth and saying the test didn't work when in fact after years of testing it was found to be over 99% accurate.
Track must do the same, even it means lowering the junior age limit to 18.
