Either... they are so similar you wouldn't know the difference.

Hm you think so? Adios seem much harsher but a little faster if you ask me
I think I'm going to go for the Boston, as I've never gone above like 10 in the adios

I don't think they're similar. The Adios is much faster (lighter/more responsive), and I think its upper is more comfortable; wider toe box. The Boston is a great cushioned trainer, but I'd take the Adios for racing.
With Boston you will save your legs, with Adios you wont be much faster...

This. They are definitely very different. I train hundreds of miles in the Boston, but wouldn't even think of doing that in the adios.
I am also looking to break 1:20 in the half and I train in Boston, Turkey trot in Adios
Boston only for easy runs and some long runs, workouts and all road races in Adios.
Would the 4%, assuming you're a fan of them, work well for the half, or is it specifically geared towards the full marathon.
Another vote for the Adios.
For just 13.1 in around 80 minutes I'd go Adios. If you're moving to 26.2 then the conversation becomes a bit different..
I've never run in Bostons but I ran a full thon in the Adios and it went swimmingly. I think it's second only to VF4% for the HM-M distance. I'm now fully dedicated to my cheater shoes but if they ever get banned, I'll def go back to the Adios.

From what I've seen from race reports, VF4% seem ideal for HM as well a the M. With every giant, unexpected, and reasonably fast (1:18 or so) HM PR I've read about, the strava activity invariably indicates the 4%.
If you can run sub 1:20 and need others to recommend a shoe you have problems.

Anecdotally speaking, PF seems to be creeping into reality for some 4% racers, myself included.
After the initially favoring them to the point of using both zoom & vapor fly's for nearly everything, PF issues forced me back to Adios.
Absolutely forgot how much I love them.
No gimmicks, old school, light, and no matter what anyone says, boost foam is fastest.
Has anyone heard anything about the adios 4? The 3 has been out for a long time now.
4%
I'd go with the Adios for the speed advantage and firmer push off. And Boston 6 is probably my favorite trainer of all time.
On a side note: For me, Takumis are a slightly superior mid-distance racer over the Adios. Feel lighter and a little more comfortable over 10+ miles with no loss of speed. YMMV.
I wore the Boston for a 1:16 half marathon and decided to use that over the Adios because I felt the cushioning of the Adios was too thin for that distance. But I am the type that needs more cushion, so to each their own.
My rec is to go to a running store that has both and see which one feels best for you.
