If we are talking about geographical accuracies and the league -did Hercules not get purchased from Milton Keynes by Belgrave as a small feeder club for South West London?

Stop being salty, the fact you've got no chance in surrey league should mean you train harder not make excuses, no-one at kent cares about what you think so keep it to yourself mate!

This definitely sums up the B team. A bunch of posh investment bankers driving around in Range Rovers. Can’t even be bothered to collect change from a tenner when buying a cup of tea and a slice of cake after a Surrey League event.

Technically, Kent AC isn't based in Kent, either. It's based in Ladywell, part of the London borough of Lewisham, which hasn't been part of Kent since 1889.

Dave Clarke, Hercules Wimbledon, P.E. and Geography teacher, used to be a great runner for Hercules Wimbledon, with times like 3.39, 7.50, 13.22, 27.56, 2.13.

English cross country champion, Leeds 1978 , and many times ran for G.B. in world cross, placing as high as 7th, the year Salazar finished 3rd.

Bob Holt, at his best in early 70's was also good, 3.51, 7.59, 13.48, 28.39, 2.16. All on once a day training, 60 miles a week average, and full time office worker, executive officer in the Civil Service, dressed like a true Brit. gentleman with bowler hat.

Kent is not even based in Kent, as it dissolved into the English Channel some time ago.

Cambridge Harriers is based in Eltham, not Cambridge.

Surrey CCC aren't based in Surrey, and haven't been since the 1880s. So you could argue it was the county of Surrey that started the trend of general disregard for county boundaries in sports, and is now getting their comeuppance.

Did not the Kent Team once, about 1970, riot and throw rocks at some bobbies, only to have four members mowed down by gunfire?

I remember seeing a photo back then on the cover of the Sunday London Times of a girl kneeling beside a dead, middle distance runner, crying with her arms outstretched and pleading.

I did hear aboot this Kent AC runner right, and he’s in the third team this lad, but he’s right mean ok? And he gaans’ oot in Bangkok right, and all the prostitutes is coming up and saying ‘how much?’. And he’s goin’ ‘I’m not paying that’ right? And then this beautiful lassy comes up. She’s gorgeous man, and she’s half the price of the others. And they’re getting doon to it. He puts his hand up her skirt, gets a hold of the old ‘meat and two veg’ right. And thinks ‘hang on, I’ve paid me money I’m gonna have summit’. So he flips ‘em over and ummmm and funnily enough, it lands on its wheels and it starts first time and they just drive away.
