Those are the EXACT life-upside down changes I'm making. A legitimate training group took me from 1:15/2:40 to 69/2:27, on 75 MPW. Adding strength training, recovery/foam rolling, better nutrition, much less beer, and commitment to 8+ hours sleep while working full-time pretty much eliminates time for anything else to move up to 105 MPW on 4 doubles.
Fingers crossed.
That's what I have figured. I barely have time for anything else during my weeks after just doing a good run, dinner, shower, and any recovery after work. If I committed more with all the little things, my life would be working, running, sleep, eating, and chores. Little more. I like to challenge myself and improve, but not sure how much I like it being all consuming.
I might be fine with being an above average hobby jogger.
