I was a pretty competitive d3 runner. I graduated and then started working and going to grad school. I didn't really have the time I wanted to put into running plus I needed a break regardless. Well now I want to run a marathon in the fall.
I have slowly over the last 3 months built up to 40 mpw after about 8 months of little to no running. I have about 5 months left. I am about 10 lbs up from college. If I work my way up to 80 mpw within the next few months do you think it is reasonable to run 2:50? My college bests were 14:44 and 30:25 and I have been feeling pretty good on easy runs and some tempo stuff I have done.
Any suggestions/ or workouts?
