The BBC elite converage announcers where embarassingly clueless. They repeated multiple times "LOOK AT KIPCHOGE he's smiling, he's not tired, he's enjoying himself and having a great time!"... except that actually Eliud and many other marathoners have said that they smile as a way to block the pain and negative thoughts at the end of the race.
This not to mention the dumb clichés ("you have to put one step after the other", "run one mile at a time"), the ridiculous "let's see if she can defend her position" after Keitany had hit the wall and lost all of her advantage, etc..
How much are these people paid? Why are they there and not someone that actually know the athlete and the sport?
