Men’s pace seems nuts. When the spectators are all in short sleeves, not good.
I reckon a few athletes/coaches will be annoyed with this pacemaking.
As I hear it the only well defined non-ambiguous WR in the marathon is The Dressed As Mister Potato Head WR.
London is a flat course except for the hilly parts.
The measurer uses a big freekin'truck that shoots out blue paint to measure the course.
Keitany- 20k at 2:14.41 pace....Diababa is 15 secs back, looks good though

This is the UK, we think it's "hot" when there's any sun at all. (For a WR though you're right, not ideal conditions).
If Keitany breaks the WR then every single American on this site can eat excrement and die. You utter gobshites.

There HAS to be some way to have the same number of commercials but keep the schdule flexible so we don't miss things like Dibaba falling behind the pace.
You mean to tell me we couldn't have the commercial break now instead of 4 minutes ago?
Yeah man we have missed so much .
I'm callin it now. Pacer 1 wins the woman's race 1 second slower than WR.
all the men together at 2 miles in 22:40!
5th mile 4:41

Warmer than usual, but there's a good cooling breeze.
In an hour when it gets hotter though, that will be the test.
You know what? I take back what I just said about commercials.
You mean to tell me there was no way NBCSN couldn't cut a deal to show this race commercial-free? I've seen like a dozen commercials for Flex Tape and/or Flex Glue since this race started.
I know this coverage started at 3:30 am EDT and 12:30 am PDT, but seriously, Nike couldn't have thrown in $250K for a commercial free broadcast?
Keitany 1:07:16 at Halfway.
Dibaba 1:07:39
This race is going to have more carnage than Boston! Insanely fast on both sides.
Madison De Rozario great race so hot.

According to the press, we are in a "heatwave" if the sun is visible 5 days in a row and a drought if it doesn't rain for 14 days.
glad I got up at 5am in the morning for some excellent wheelchair race coverage.

End of men's race will be ugly. I don't understand how pacing gets so off. Don't they at least take mile splits as they run? Seems unprofessional. I'm all for a straight race, but why even talk about 61 vs 61:30 first half if you aren't even going to pay attention when the race starts?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
