The men startling. I’ve only ever felt this sort of anticipation before a World Cup final.

So the women run their slowest mile of the race for mile 7 (5:18) and immediately follow with their fastest mile of the race for mile 8 (4:57). 40:57 at 8 miles (2:14:12 pace)
Luckily, I'm at my parents this weekend and they have NBC Sports. So I get to watch a race that isn't an illegal stream for once.
I skipped waking up in time for the women's race because I figured it would be a snooze fest and the pack would be thinned already. And it is. I don't care what anyone says, marathoners without pacers are so much better to watch.
This is stupidity if the pacing is still 61:00. Let's act like we haven't learned anything from Sub-2, Boston 2011 or Boston 2018. Yeah, the weather has nothing to do with marathoning.
It's a) hotter b) sunnier and c) windier than I thought it would be.
Admittedly, I haven't been watching. I've been trying to get John Kelllogg on the phone (he's not answering) to get the time nailed down before the race starts. He'd of course be able to predict it and then somehow after the fact people would claim that it wasn't that amazing of a prediction.
Face it folks, his 2011 Boston and 2018 Boston weather predictions were amazing.
I'm going back to bed for an hour now that I know the weather.
God I hate the monarchy. I can't believe we're still pushed to pretend like it's something we should care about
The Queen running a little late.

Farah has arm warmers on. Apparently the elites don’t think this weather is too warm.
NBC listed Fernando CaNada as the fastest American for the mens race.

I'm actually nervous myself. Kipchoge looks worryingly confident. This is it guys. Nowhere to hide, you have to run fast to win. Let's see what farah is made f.
What is it with England and red buttons? TV has a red button. The Queen pushes a red button.

I think America would benefit from a fake monarch. Would prevent people from trying to become a real monarch.

Bit disappointed in the Queen.
Usually the celebs starting the race have to stand and high five 20,000+ runners across the start-line.

Keep Calm and Push the Red Button

The BBC has two streams. The stream tagged red button is race only. Watch that one.
