Not that freedom is highest good though wrote:
If you like taxes so much, you can always volunteer and pay more than the minimum exaction.
Clearly you don't understand supply/demand, replacement of goods, etc. My guess is that your ancestors were worried about the horse poop from buggy carriages inundating the 20th century.
Forcing others to fund your idea of "public good" in the antithesis of freedom.
The point is that we're a society, which you're failing to grasp. You're saying that I'm forcing others, but I'm also forced to pay for corporations that pollute and make their higher ups big money. I'm also forced by this administration to support obsolete cost miners. A person who bicycles everywhere and buys locally is still forced to support interested highways.
You and others on the right are just stooges for the rich. I should volunteer more of my taxes while the rich are cheating and housing money offshore? No thanks. EV tax credits aren't what's breaking the bank for the US. At least these are encouraging economic activity.
Are you just trolling? With your attitude expressed here, we would still be driving buggy carriages. The EV tax credits are advancing technology and supporting a cleaner form of transportation which will be widespread sooner than you think. We can either support this technology at home while we can or countries like China, which have similar tax breaks, will jump ahead of us.
