I predict in 2-3 years time that Tesla will be but a shell of itself and struggling to raise money to fund it's cash burn.
Day of the OP, TSLA closed at $300.8; I checked just now and it's at $728, or a 142% increase over that period. Wow!

OK, thank you! NOW it's the end of the thread
$760. Wheee - I'm not sure which is more fun, owning the car or owning the stock.
Short TSLA

Let us know how that works out.
I've been buy a few shares of Tesla now and then since 2015, even though Schwab has consistently rated it F or D. (Its current rating is D.) I don't care. I've been convinced that Musk is the Thomas Edison of our time, a tireless and highly creative innovator who takes risks with a huge potential payoff.
About a week ago, much to my surprise, Tesla was suddenly up in the $500 range. So I bought ten shares.
Today it's at $908. I bought two more shares.
Dollar cost averaging with a vengeance. Just keep that drip-drip-drip of accumulation.
Oh ye of little faith.

I see the light too now. Today's pull back was another good entry IMO. I like the truck too for what that is worth.

Do I think TSLA is worth nearly 4 times what is was 6 months ago? No.
Would I short it right now? Probably not.
I do think it’s extremely overvalued, but I think it’s a good car and well ahead of the curve compared to its competitors.
I don’t see the Apple type cult following to continue forever.
Some real competition is here with the Porsche Taycan TurboS that just beat the Tesla Model S 1/4 mile record. More importantly, the Porsche looks much better than the Tesla. The question is will the worlds best driver car company followers (Porsche) buy an electric, and Will the electric crowd want to buy a Porsche? I think the latter is more likely than the former.
If we do get a recession in the next couple of years, it’s the Tesla type companies that will fall hard. Speculators can enjoy the ride in the interim.
