Would have been poetic justice if this had been a Tesla....

As it is, it is simply justice.
You forgot the important part:
After the crash, Olsen said the Tesla’s combustible battery began exploding on scene, and a hazardous materials team arrived to take care of the battery.
Yeah right. Why don’t you just keep shorting Tesla then? How’s that working out?
I am not sure who is buying Tesla stock. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's just somebody around Musk who is doing this.
Otherwise, who would buy that overpriced stock?
By all means, short it.
I saw this thread back on the index and figured for sure people were linking to this article:

Update: Cars (human and robot driven) get in deadly accidents every day. You don’t need to post singular events. Give me long term data.
Update #2: Tesla is dominating the market despite the haters.
These things are walking timebombs (well, not literally, but you get the drift). Not just don't park next to one, don't park anywhere near one.
Norway's airport suffered a major fire yesterday at a parking garage on the premises. The fire resulted in air traffic being grounded and an evacuation of the facilities.
Scattered unconfirmed social media reports have pinned the blame on an electric vehicle catching fire...
The official statement from authorities is that the cause of the fire is "unknown" despite being notified first that an electric vehicle was on fire,
Hundreds of cars were destroyed as a result. All flights from the airport had to be cancelled for the rest of the day as a result, even causing the Prime Minister to be delayed.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGA-oMGEwOoNo surprise, Norway has the most electric cars per capita in the world.
But now they are trying to blame it on a diesel.

Police are in the middle of investigating what is being called a "single vehicle crash" involving a Tesla that "crashed and burst into flames" in Pleasanton, California. The driver of the vehicle was killed,
https://abc7news.com/5862228/The Tesla was going southbound and lost control near the intersection. It then crashed into a sign outside of an apartment complex before catching on fire.
The intersection was closed for several hours on Saturday night as a result of the crash.
"The car was going so fast, it actually took out a street signal," the on-the-scene reporter says in her coverage.
Update! The Pleasanton Tesla reignited.
Just doesn't happen to other Cars wrote:

Still shorting Tesla?
Ya'll better vote Trump again or Tesla is going to zero. It's an obvious short but you can't touch it because the market is a circus. What lasts longer, this thread or Tesla? hmmmmm
