Easy: Brooks Ghost 10 and 11 (I don't love the 11s, wish I had more 10s)
Faster training and 5k/10k races: Adidas Boston
Half/Full: 4%s (the originals, one full and two goal halfs - may use them more often now that the flyknits are easy to get)

How stiff are the Ghosts?
Looking for a replacement easy shoe...
Easy:
Currently Vomero 10 (last pair)
Pegasus 35 (don’t rate them)
Easy/quicker stuff:
Zoomfly
Racer 6 (sexiest shoes ever)
Streak 6
Boston 6
Racing:
Streak 6
VF
Easy:
Kinvara 10
Freedom ISO
Pegasus 35
Ghost 11, hate these things, too clunky, work well for long runs though
Tempo:
adizero sub2
Zoom Fly Flyknit (current pair is dead and waiting on them to drop in price)
Kinvara's sometimes too just depends
Race/Hard Days:
Nike Streak LT 4
VF 4%, once they're worn out I'll probably start racing in the sub2's or the hoka carbon rockets, waste of money
GOAT shoes:
Saucony Ride 7, Zoom Fly Flyknit, Ghost 10, probably some more I can't think of now
Easy
Hoka Bondi
Tempo
Hoka Bondi
Speed work
Hoka Bondi
Race

I have a "rotation", though it's just a collection of shoes. For training at least, it doesn't really matter to much p match a shoe to a purpose. I used to do sub-5 pace tempos in 12 oz. trainers.
Something different, kind of anti-consumerism or just being cheap: I hate not fully wearing out things before throwing them out, and I still have a lot of old shoes that I'm using every day. So I've mostly abstained from buying new trainers last year, and will continue to do that this year. I'm the guy that sews up holes in uppers, if the shoe still feels good to me otherwise. So here are my current shoes, what year I got them, how many miles are on them.
NB Zante original '16, 660 miles, sewed up uppers once, looking/feeling good
Puma Trailfox 4 '12, 1612 miles, uppers finally starting to split a bit... will go for at least 2,000 miles
adidas A16+ Ultraboost '18, 213 miles, causal slip-on shoes, my newest shoes
Inov-8 Trail Talon 250 '18, 486 miles, my next newest shoes, unrepairable large hole in upper, so I'll get to 500 and toss them out.
adidas takumi Sen 3 '17, 81 miles, mostly use them on treadmill
adidas Adios 2 (before boost) '12, 377 miles, look/feel newish
Merrell Bare Access Trail '14, 552 miles, large hole in upper, ran in them today, and felt fine, so I might not toss them yet.
Merrell Bare Access Ultra '14, 320 miles
Hoka Speedgoat 2 '18, 1023 miles, sewed up uppers a few times, could probably go at least 2,000 miles, but I haven't been wearing them lately in favor of trying to wear out the other shoes first.
Montrail Mountain Masochist II outdry '13, 611 miles, mainly use them for deep snow
Salomon S-Lab Sense 3 SG '15, 252 miles, I'll probably have to put these in the donation bin, try them out a few times per year, but they're too tight.

I was looking at the ghost. Maybe not now...
With the emergence of the next% and NB/Hoka having carbon plate shoes, thought I’d bump this thread.
Easy/speed: Floatride
Long: zoomfly
Racing: streak (5k) and 4% (8k+)
No rotation. I run (and walk) in the same shoes for years and thousands of miles.
Easy: Salming Miles
Workouts: Salming Distance
Easy/Long run: Pegasus Turbo
Short race/Intervals: Zoom Streak 7
Long race/Tempo/Progression: Boston 7
This year,
putting in the miles: solarboost
going fast: wave shadow 2
Next year (already purchased),
putting in the miles: floatride forever energy
going fast: boston 8
My opinions on these shoes,
solarboost: heavy, slow, not worth the premium price
wave shadow 2: like the drop, but the cushioning under the forefoot is very hard
floatride forever energy: not a huge fan of narrow forefoot, if it becomes intolerable may have to find something else (maybe waveknit r2)
boston 8: seems pretty good so far, definitely notice the upper folding and wrinkling and pushing into the top of my foot with each step though, this is a common problem I have with a lot of shoes, hopefully it will be more of an annoyance that I can get used to rather than something that becomes more of a problem long term
normal running - Altra Solstice / NB Zante v3 / Saucony Freedom ISO
2hr+ runs - old 4%s
Races - Next %

Inov-8 Trail Talon 250s are at 805 miles
