Hanson’s had Desi.
Shalane ran solidly.
Did NOP even have a finisher?

Shalane did not run solidly, she ran horribly. Not her fault she isn't built for this weather, but she lost to a hockey-playing mom and many other amateurs.

It says she has big weaknesses.
The women went out slow AF. When elites are going 6:30 pace in 32F windchill, they are getting hypothermic. For a 2:40 woman, she is more comfortable. Hence by the end the 2:40 women were beating the 2:20 women (except Des, who is a bit of a freak like Yuki).

Are you saying Shalane gets excuses and Rupp doesn't? They both ran horribly. Rupp because of allergies and Shalane because, whatever, it was cold.

Wasn't she top-10?
