Rachel Hyland went to Williams College. D3 baby!!

Good thing for them that most of March was like this, seeing as they usually spend winters in Tallahassee!
$150,000 for 1st, $75,000 for 2nd and $40,000 for 3rd, not too bad;)
I’d only heard of 3 of the top 10 female finishers!!!
repeat: you're a fool
Rachel Hyland ran as Rachel Asher in college. D3 All American. Got a ton better after college and qualified for Olympic Trials.
Husband is a good local runner as well. Sean Hyland.

The feed I saw said Hyland was German and Dimercurio was Canadian. At least that was the flags placed by their names.
The Boston site says they are both Americans.
In general, success in a marathon depends on your bio-chem treating you right; altitude, heat, humidity, cold and rain etc., affects us all differently. No matter how talented, prepared and game you are, if your bio-chem is affected by the conditions more, you are operating at a disadvantage. I would not be surprised to hear that the cold moist air affected some of the elite athletes.

It could be that BAA has then identified by residential address, and that both are citizens of other countries. and living in the USA.
We messed up trying to merge these threads. Restore and we've got an interview with Sarah Sellers here:
She said she comes to LetsRun and thanked me for it. Definitely the day for the citizen runner!

Yes- I screen-shotted that to send to a buddy that was saying 5 of top 6 were from the U.S. NBC eventually put up a new graphic with correct flags.

I mean I was loving the last 5 miles, don't get me wrong. I just can't imagine what it would have been like to see some American I've never heard of before running into first in the last couple of miles and frantically using Google to try to learn her story.
Well lucky for you that didn’t happen today.
This girls just placed second at Boston and her father is- are you ready for this?
Arthur Digby Sellers.
whats crazy to think of......... desi had talked about dropping out, if she had, sarah sellers would have ended the drought.
Crazy that if Desi dropped out when she felt bad early on, Sarah Sellers would be the woman who ended the American drought at Boston!

While you very well could be right, actually, that might not have been the case. If Desi had never passed those other two African women, their backwards slide may or may not have continued. Dynamics of race could possibly have changed.

lol, beat and almost word for word
Does Sarah seem ridiculously low-key for someone that came literally almost out of thin air and got second and $75K at a Marathon Major. She looked like someone who maybe just won a $10 lottery ticket.
Also: is she Mormon? I recall Weber State being pretty Mormo.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
