Yuki out hot!!
How embarrassing!! Neither Trautwig nor Rawson know who he is. Talking about him like he's some hobby jogger trying to get face time on tv!!!
Anyone know who the two guys commenting on the BBC coverage are?
Yuki 1st km < 2:45??

... and the TV announcers are oblivious - telling us that Yuki is going for TV time. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Rupp looks like he wants to hide from the doping officials after the race
Can the link / links to watch get posted every page or so? That way we don't have to go back page by page to find them

Question for the PC police, so if a white runner wins, do you want us to not mention the fact directly and go out of our way and act like it's not significant. We could say something like, "Rupp's win is unusual because a man of recent East-African descent has won 26 of the last 27 races (Lee Bong Ju of South Korea won in 2001)."
In my mind, I don't see even if we are following the PC rules why we can't mention it directly. It seems to me that the country is obsessed with one's race as long as they are a minority and a white guy is a minority in the world of pro running.
how about, at least, waiting until he actually wins before writing about this
I have a better idea to make the world a better place. Quit race baiting and just don't mention it at all. If the racist care enough they can find a photo and see what the color of the winners skin is.
NOT watching the insipid and commercial NBC coverage is a blessing.
I am following the race via this thread, so make it good!

Geoff burns Rupp. Love it.
Dude is going all Ryan Hall this morning, probably won't finish in the top 5

+1
Yeah, I'm following the race via this thread as well, even though I live in Boston. Best coverage around.
I am rooting for Yuki Kawauchi for the high finish. If he can run a fast marathon on New Years Day by himself in freezing cold, he can run well today!

Yeah, the only thing I have going for me is I have two feeds on my computer so I switch to the one I want.
Anyone know what Shalane is wearing?

They are not talking about one of the greatest and most consistent marathoners of our time is leading the race. This pace is not out of his reach.
He has far more experience than any two marathoners combined in the field.
He has raced infall conditions all over the world at world class pace! Say something you uninformed idiots.
